2014-01-13i2c: Add bus driver for for OSIF USB i2c device.Andrew Lunn
OSIF, Open Source InterFace, is a USB based i2c bus master. The origional design was based on i2c-tiny-usb, but more modern versions of the firmware running on the MegaAVR microcontroller use a different protocol over the USB. This code is based on Barry Carter <barry.carter@gmail.com> driver. Signed-off-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>

2014-01-09Documentation: i2c: Remove obsolete exampleHelia Correia
Documentation/i2c/fault-codes illustrates EINVAL error code as follows: "One example would be a driver trying an SMBus Block Write with block size outside the range of 1-32 bytes." However, the actual implementation of i2c subsystem truncates data length to be 32 bytes. Hence this example cannot happen anymore, and since it's obsolete, let's simply remove it from Documentation/i2c/fault-codes. 2014-01-09i2c: nomadik: auto-calculate slave setup timeLinus Walleij
The Nomadik I2C controller needs to have the slave set-up time configured based off the clock used to drive the I2C bus block. Currently this is done with static assignments assuming that the block is clocked 48MHz which is pretty likely to be bug-prone. Calculate the SLSU from the equation given in the datasheet instead. 2014-01-03i2c: s3c2410: dont need CPU_FREQ transitions for exynos seriesNaveen Krishna Ch
For Exynos4 and Exynos5 SoCs from Samsung the i2c clock is based on a fixed 66 MHz peripheral clock, and therefore is completely independent of the cpu frequency. Thus, registering for a CPU freq notifier is very wasteful. This patch modifes the code such that, i2c bus registers to cpu_freq_transition only if CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_S3C24XX is enabled. This change should save a bunch of cpufreq transitions calls which does not apply to exynos SoCs. 2014-01-03i2c: s3c2410: Add polling mode supportVasanth Ananthan
This patch adds polling mode support for i2c-s3c2410 driver. The SATA PHY controller's CMU and TRSV block's are of I2C register map in exynos5250.These blocks can be configured using i2c. But i2c controller instance on which these block's sits lacks an interrupt line. Also the current i2c-s3c2410 driver is only interrupt driven, thus a polling mode support is required in the driver for supporting this controller. 2013-12-28ARM: pxa: fix USB gadget driver compilation regressionLinus Walleij
After commit 88f718e3fa4d67f3a8dbe79a2f97d722323e4051 "ARM: pxa: delete the custom GPIO header" a compilation error was introduced in the PXA25x gadget driver. An attempt to fix the problem was made in commit b144e4ab1ef130e8bf30bcd3e529b7f35112c503 "usb: gadget: fix pxa25x compilation problems" by explictly stating the driver needs the <mach/hardware.h> header, which solved the compilation for a few boards, such as the pxa255-idp and its defconfig. However the Lubbock board has this special clause in drivers/usb/gadget/pxa25x_udc.c: This include file has an implicit dependency on <mach/irqs.h> having been included before <mach/lubbock.h> was included. Before commit 88f718e3fa4d67f3a8dbe79a2f97d722323e4051 "ARM: pxa: delete the custom GPIO header" this implicit dependency for the pxa25x_udc compile on the Lubbock was satisfied by <linux/gpio.h> implicitly including <mach/gpio.h> which was in turn including <mach/irqs.h>, apart from the earlier added <mach/hardware.h>. Fix this by having the PXA25x <mach/lubbock.h> explicitly include <mach/irqs.h>. Looks like the LCD panel on LDP has been broken quite a while, and recently got fixed by commit 0b2aa8bed3e1 (gpio: twl4030: Fix regression for twl gpio output). Commit 7d7e1eb (ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removal) and commit ec2c082 (ARM: OMAP2+: Remove hardcoded IRQs and enable SPARSE_IRQ) updated the way interrupts for OMAP2/3 devices are defined in the HWMOD data structures to being an index plus a fixed offset (defined by OMAP_INTC_START). The bug has nothing to do with libata but it's just an workaround which is easy to backport. After discussion, Rafael and I seem to agree that we don't really need kernel freezables - both kthread and workqueue. There are few specific workqueues which constitute PM operations and require freezing, which will be converted to use workqueue_set_max_active() instead. All other kernel freezer uses are planned to be removed, followed by the removal of kthread and workqueue freezer support, hopefully. Others are device-specific fixes. 2013-12-23selinux: selinux_setprocattr()->ptrace_parent() needs rcu_read_lock()Oleg Nesterov
selinux_setprocattr() does ptrace_parent(p) under task_lock(p), but task_struct->alloc_lock doesn't pin ->parent or ->ptrace, this looks confusing and triggers the "suspicious RCU usage" warning because ptrace_parent() does rcu_dereference_check(). And in theory this is wrong, spin_lock()->preempt_disable() doesn't necessarily imply rcu_read_lock() we need to access the ->parent. Fix a broken networking check. Return an error if peer recv fails. If secmark is active and the packet recv succeeds the peer recv error is ignored. Signed-off-by: Chad Hanson <chanson@trustedcs.com> Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org Signed-off-by: Paul Moore <pmoore@redhat.com>
