2012-05-15userns: Convert stat to return values mapped from kuids and kgidsEric W. Biederman
- Store uids and gids with kuid_t and kgid_t in struct kstat - Convert uid and gids to userspace usable values with from_kuid and from_kgid Acked-by: Serge Hallyn <serge.hallyn@canonical.com> Signed-off-by: Eric W. Biederman <ebiederm@xmission.com>
2011-04-29ARM: 6891/1: prevent heap corruption in OABI semtimedopDan Rosenberg
When CONFIG_OABI_COMPAT is set, the wrapper for semtimedop does not bound the nsops argument. A sufficiently large value will cause an integer overflow in allocation size, followed by copying too much data into the allocated buffer. Fix this by restricting nsops to SEMOPM. Untested. 2010-08-13Mark arguments to certain syscalls as being constDavid Howells
Mark arguments to certain system calls as being const where they should be but aren't. The list includes: (*) The filename arguments of various stat syscalls, execve(), various utimes syscalls and some mount syscalls. (*) The filename arguments of some syscall helpers relating to the above. (*) The buffer argument of various write syscalls. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Acked-by: David S. 2010-03-12Add generic sys_ipc wrapperChristoph Hellwig
Add a generic implementation of the ipc demultiplexer syscall. Except for s390 and sparc64 all implementations of the sys_ipc are nearly identical. There are slight differences in the types of the parameters, where mips and powerpc as the only 64-bit architectures with sys_ipc use unsigned long for the "third" argument as it gets casted to a pointer later, while it traditionally is an "int" like most other paramters. frv goes even further and uses unsigned long for all parameters execept for "ptr" which is a pointer type everywhere. The change from int to unsigned long for "third" and back to "int" for the others on frv should be fine due to the in-register calling conventions for syscalls (we already had a similar issue with the generic sys_ptrace), but I'd prefer to have the arch maintainers looks over this in details. Except for that h8300, m68k and m68knommu lack an impplementation of the semtimedop sub call which this patch adds, and various architectures have gets used - at least on i386 it seems superflous as the compat code on x86-64 and ia64 doesn't even bother to implement it. 2009-04-20Separate out common fstatat code into vfs_fstatatOleg Drokin
This is a version incorporating Christoph's suggestion. Separate out common *fstatat functionality into a single function instead of duplicating it all over the code. Signed-off-by: Oleg Drokin <green@linuxhacker.ru> Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>

2008-03-28[ARM] 4878/1: Add oabi shim for fstatat64Riku Voipio
Ccoreutils and other have started using fstatat64. Thus, we need a shim for it if we want to support modern oldabi userlands (such as Debian/arm/lenny) with EABI kernels. 2007-10-17remove include/asm-*/ipc.hAdrian Bunk

2006-02-08[ARM] 3308/1: old ABI compat: struct sockaddr_unNicolas Pitre
Patch from Nicolas Pitre struct sockaddr_un loses its padding with EABI. Since the size of the structure is used as a validation test in unix_mkname(), we need to change the length argument to 110 whenever it is 112. Patch from Nicolas Pitre The difference between EABI and the legacy ABI may affect either structure member alignment and/or argument register selection. The patch has the details. Included are wrappers for the following syscalls: sys_stat64 sys_lstat64 sys_fstat64 sys_fcntl64 sys_epoll_ctl sys_epoll_wait sys_ipc sys_semop sys_semtimedop sys_pread64 sys_pwrite64 sys_truncate64 sys_ftruncate64 sys_readahead Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@cam.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
