As we discussed in mailing list, non-DT for EXYNOS SoCs will not be supported from v3.11. This patch removes regarding files for non-DT including board files and defconfig. 2012-11-20ARM: EXYNOS: PL330 MDMA1 fix for revision 0 of Exynos4210 SOCBartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz
Commit 8214513 ("ARM: EXYNOS: fix address for EXYNOS4 MDMA1") changed EXYNOS specific setup of PL330 DMA engine to use 'non-secure' mdma1 address instead of 'secure' one (from 0x12840000 to 0x12850000) to fix issue with some Exynos4212 SOCs. Unfortunately it brakes PL330 setup for revision 0 of Exynos4210 SOC (mdma1 device cannot be found at 'non-secure' address): [ 0.566245] dma-pl330 dma-pl330.2: PERIPH_ID 0x0, PCELL_ID 0x0 ! [ 0.566278] dma-pl330: probe of dma-pl330.2 failed with error -22 Fix it by using 'secure' mdma1 address on Exynos4210 revision 0 SOC. 2012-09-14ARM: EXYNOS: Set the capability of pdm0 and pdm1 as DMA_PRIVATETushar Behera
DMA clients pdma0 and pdma1 are internal to the SoC and are used only by dedicated peripherals. Since they cannot be used for generic purpose, their capability should be set as DMA_PRIVATE. 2011-12-23ARM: EXYNOS: Limit usage of pl330 device instance to non-dt buildThomas Abraham
The pl330 device instances and associated platform data is required only for non-device-tree builds. With device tree enabled, the data about the platform is obtained from the device tree. For images that include both dt and non-dt platforms, an addditional check is added to ensure that static amba device registrations is applicable to only non-dt platforms. 2011-11-06ARM: EXYNOS: Add ARCH_EXYNOS and reorganize arch/arm/mach-exynosKukjin Kim
The arch/arm/mach-exynos4 directory (CONFIG_ARCH_EXYNOS4) has made for plaforms based on EXYNOS4 SoCs. But since upcoming Samsung's SoCs such as EXYNOS5 (ARM Cortex A15) can reuse most codes in current mach-exynos4, one mach-exynos directory will be used for them. This patch changes to CONFIG_ARCH_EXYNOS (arch/arm/mach-exynos) but keeps original CONFIG_ARCH_EXYNOS4 in mach-exynos/Kconfig to avoid changing in driver side.
