2012-01-23Merge tag 'arm-soc-imx-move' of ↵Linus Torvalds
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Consolidate i.MX 5 platforms to be under the new shared i.MX 3/5/6 tree. * tag 'arm-soc-imx-move' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: ARM i.MX: Update defconfig ARM i.MX: Merge i.MX5 support into mach-imx ARM i.MX5: remove unnecessary includes from board files Fix up fairly trivial conflicts due to various changes nearby in arch/arm/{mach,plat}-imx/{Kconfig,Makefile} Pull request had been sent to the wrong email address, but happened before the merge window closed. I'm merging the MX 5 consolidation, since it apparently will help the next development window and will avoid conflicts later as per Arnd.

2011-12-19cpuimx35sd: fix KconfigEric Bénard
in 0d6cfa3a75f5cde5b3ca0dde748fd22625b4f34c I fixed the mach-types records. We also need to make the name consistent in Kconfig else the machine_is_eukrea_cpuimx35sd macro fails, and thus audio codec is not properly initalized. 2011-11-16ARM i.MX: Merge i.MX5 support into mach-imxSascha Hauer
This patch moves the contents of arch/arm/mach-mx5 to arch/arm/mach-imx and adjusts the Makefile/Kconfig entries in a way that it's possible to compile i.MX5 together with i.MX3/6. 2011-09-28arm/imx: change mxc_init_l2x0() to an imx31/35 specific callShawn Guo
The mxc_init_l2x0() should really be an imx31/35 specific call. The patch removes early_initcall from mxc_init_l2x0() and get imx31 and imx35 soc specific function calls mxc_init_l2x0(), so that it's not necessarily to be called for all imx socs when we build single image for multiple imx socs. Thus the function can be renamed to imx3_init_l2x0() and put into mm-imx3.c. It also changes the return type from integer to void. From what I see, the integer was picked just to satisfy early_initcall prototype. With the patch 'ARM: l2x0: add empty l2x0_of_init' applied, the code compiles even without CONFIG_CACHE_L2X0 enabled. 2011-09-28arm/imx: rename mm-imx31.c to mm-imx3.cShawn Guo
Since mm-imx31.c now is shared between imx31 and imx35, the patch renames mm-imx31.c to mm-imx3.c. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
2011-09-28arm/imx: merge mm-imx35.c into mm-imx31.cShawn Guo
As imx31 and imx35 have much in common at soc level, this patch merges mm-imx35.c into mm-imx31.c, so that the common functions between imx31 and imx35 can be added in one file later. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

2011-02-11ARM i.MX ehci: factor out soc specific functionsSascha Hauer
Currently we have a mxc_initialize_usb_hw which is called on every i.MX SoC. This function dispatches the different SoC types, which is quite ugly. This patch moves the SoC specific USB initialization to their correspondive mach directories. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

2010-06-30ARM: imx: new Kconfig symbol and feature test macro for DMA on mx1 and mx2Uwe Kleine-König
This should be used instead of hard coding the corresponding platforms. The feature test macro is needed to support different SOCs in a single kernel image. While at it rename dma-mx1-mx2 to dma-v1 as mx25 doesn't use it and so the mx2 part is wrong and move the header to arch/arm/mach-imx. Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de>

2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
