2006-01-08[PATCH] move rtc_interrupt() prototype to rtc.hAdrian Bunk
This patch moves the rtc_interrupt() prototype to rtc.h and removes the prototypes from C files. It also renames static rtc_interrupt() functions in arch/arm/mach-integrator/time.c and arch/sh64/kernel/time.c to avoid compile problems. 2006-01-07[ARM] Move asm/hardware/clock.h to linux/clk.hRussell King
This is needs to be visible to other architectures using the AMBA bus and peripherals. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-01-07[ARM] Move AMBA include files to include/linux/amba/Russell King
Since the ARM AMBA bus is used on MIPS as well as ARM, we need to make the bus available for other architectures to use. Move the AMBA include files from include/asm-arm/hardware/ to include/linux/amba/ Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-01-04[ARM] Remove unused dma.c filesRussell King
CLPS711x, EPXA10DB and Integrator contained a dma.c file which has never been built. Remove these redundant files. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-01-03[ARM] Remove clk_use()/clk_unuse()Russell King
It seems that clk_use() and clk_unuse() are additional complexity which isn't required anymore. Remove them from the clock framework to avoid the additional confusion which they cause, and update all ARM machine types except for OMAP. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-11-07[PATCH] kfree cleanup: archJesper Juhl

Manual #include fixups for clashes - there may be some unnecessary
2005-10-30[PATCH] fix missing includesTim Schmielau
I recently picked up my older work to remove unnecessary #includes of sched.h, starting from a patch by Dave Jones to not include sched.h from module.h. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h by ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after this disentangling (patch to follow later). However, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this. In order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as possible, I've split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for i386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real patch. This way this large part of the patch is kept simple with only adding #includes, and all hunks are independent of each other. So if any hunk rejects or gets in the way of other patches, just drop it. My scripts will pick it up again in the next round. 2005-09-04[ARM] Wrap calls to descriptor handlersRussell King
This is part of Thomas Gleixner's generic IRQ patch, which converts ARM to use the generic IRQ subsystem. Here, we wrap calls to desc->handler() in an inline function, desc_handle_irq(). This reduces the size of Thomas' patch since the changes become more localised. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-07-29[ARM SMP] Ensure secondary CPUs see their pen releaseRussell King
Since the secondary CPUs will not be operating in symetric mode while they are held in the pen, we need to ensure that the write to pen_release is visible to them, by flushing the cache. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2005-07-11[PATCH] ARM SMP: Rename cpu_present_mask to cpu_possible_mapRussell King
The kernel's terminology for this is cpu_possible_map not cpu_present_mask. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2005-06-29[PATCH] ARM: Convert ARM timer implementations to use readl/writelRussell King
Convert ARMs timer implementations to use readl/writel instead of accessing the registers via a struct. People have recently asked if accessing timers via a structure is the "right way" and its not the Linux way. So fix this code to conform to "The Linux Way"(tm). Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
2005-06-26[PATCH] ARM: Add SA_TIMER flag to timer interruptsRussell King
VST needs to know which timer handler is for the timer interrupt. Mark all timer interrupts with the SA_TIMER flag. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

Allow RTC drivers to return error codes from their read_time or read_alarm methods. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
