2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. 2012-01-05ARM: restart: kirkwood: use new restart hookRussell King
Hook these platforms restart code into the new restart hook rather than using arch_reset(). Acked-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2011-03-03ARM: Remove dependency of plat-orion time code on mach directory includes.Lennert Buytenhek
This patch makes the various mach dirs that use the plat-orion time code pass in timer and bridge addresses explicitly, instead of having plat-orion get those values by including a mach dir include file -- the latter mechanism is problematic if you want to support multiple ARM platforms in the same kernel image. 2010-12-07Kirkwood: Add support for 6282 based QNAP devicesMartin Michlmayr
Add support for the QNAP NAS devices based on Marvell's 6282 Kirkwood chip (TS-119P+, TS-219P+ and TS-419P+). The differences to the 6281 based devices are: - Ethernet PHY address - GPIOs used for buttons (TS-119P+/TS-219P+) Signed-off-by: Martin Michlmayr <tbm@cyrius.com> Acked-by: Saeed Bishara <saeed.bishara@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@fluxnic.net>
2010-10-20arm: remove machine_desc.io_pg_offst and .phys_ioNicolas Pitre
Since we're now using addruart to establish the debug mapping, we can remove the io_pg_offst and phys_io members of struct machine_desc. The various declarations were removed using the following script: grep -rl MACHINE_START arch/arm | xargs \ sed -i '/MACHINE_START/,/MACHINE_END/ { /\.\(phys_io\|io_pg_offst\)/d }' [ Initial patch was from Jeremy Kerr, example script from Russell King ] Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nicolas.pitre@linaro.org> Acked-by: Eric Miao <eric.miao at canonical.com>
2010-07-16[ARM] Kirkwood: add support for PCIe1Saeed Bishara
This patch extends the kirkwood's PCIe support up to 2 controllers as in the 6282 devices. Signed-off-by: Saeed Bishara <saeed@marvell.com> Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@fluxnic.net>
2010-07-16[ARM] Kirkwood: Add MPP44 (board ID) on TS-219Martin Michlmayr
MPP44 can be used to differentiate between one-bay (TS-11x) and two-bay (TS-21x) devices. According to an engineer from QNAP, the setting of MPP44 depends on the firmware rather than hardware. Presumably, this means that you could fake the MPP44 value by changing the boot loader. Signed-off-by: Martin Michlmayr <tbm@cyrius.com> Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@fluxnic.net>
2010-07-16[ARM] Kirkwood: update MPP definition.Benjamin Zores
Add MPP definitions for Marvell Kirkwood 88F6282 revision. Update some defines to reflect datasheet's MPP names. Signed-off-by: Benjamin Zores <benjamin.zores@alcatel-lucent.com> Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@fluxnic.net>
2009-11-13[ARM] Kirkwood: Remove code duplication in QNAP setup filesMartin Michlmayr
Remove the code duplication found in the setup files of TS-219 and TS-41x. Signed-off-by: Martin Michlmayr <tbm@cyrius.com> Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@marvell.com>
2009-11-13[ARM] Kirkwood: Add QNAP TS-110/TS-210 to Kconfig help textMartin Michlmayr
Add two new models from QNAP to the help text. They are compatible with the TS-119/TS-219 and therefore supported by the current code. The only difference is that they have less RAM (256 MB instead of 512 MB), a slower CPU (800 MHz vs 1.2 GHz) and a plastic case. 2009-11-13[ARM] Kirkwood: Add MPP36 for QNAP TS-11x/TS-21xMartin Michlmayr
MPP36 is used on the QNAP TS-11x/TS-21x devices to indicate how much RAM there is: it's high for 512 MB RAM (TS-x19) and low for 256 MB (TS-x10). While this may not be very useful, let's add it for completeness. Signed-off-by: Martin Michlmayr <tbm@cyrius.com> Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@marvell.com>
2009-08-24[ARM] Kirkwood: enable eSATA on QNAP TS-219PJohn Holland
Initialize PCI/PCIe on the QNAP TS-119, TS-219 and TS-219P hardware allowing the use of the discrete eSATA controller connected to the PCIe bus in the TS-219P. 2009-05-20[ARM] Kirkwood: Correct MPP for SATA activity/presence LEDs of QNAP ↵Thomas Reitmayr
TS-119/TS-219. For the QNAP TS-119 and TS-219 the wrong MPPs were used for the SATA activity/presence LEDs. The new settings make these LEDs work as expected.
