2013-06-24ARM: msm: Prepare clk_get() users in mach-msm for clock-pcom driverStephen Boyd
In the near future we'll be moving clock-pcom to a platform driver, in which case these two users of clk_get() in mach-msm need to be updated. Have board-trout-panel.c make the proc_comm call directly so that we don't have to port this board specific code to the driver right now and reorder the initcall order of dma.c so that it initializes after the clock driver probes but before any drivers use dma APIs. 2013-03-05ARM: msm: Move dma.h #defines that are private to dma.cStephen Boyd
These #defines are only used by the dma.c file within mach-msm. Don't put them into a global mach include that any driver can use to muck with registers within the dma controller. This also prevents random people from getting access to msm_iomap.h (a file that will soon be private to mach-msm). 2012-09-13ARM: msm: dma: use list_move_tail instead of list_del/list_add_tailWei Yongjun
Using list_move_tail() instead of list_del() + list_add_tail(). spatch with a semantic match is used to found this problem. (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) Signed-off-by: Wei Yongjun <yongjun_wei@trendmicro.com.cn> Signed-off-by: David Brown <davidb@codeaurora.org>

2010-03-18msm: Add 'execute' datamover callbackSan Mehat
Based on a patch from Brent DeGraaf: "The datamover supports channels which can be shared amongst devices. As a result, the actual data transfer may occur some time after the request is queued up. Some devices such as mmc host controllers will timeout if a command is issued too far in advance of the actual transfer, so if dma to other devices on the same channel is already in progress or queued up, the added delay can cause pending transfers to fail before they start. This change extends the api to allow a user callback to be invoked just before the actual transfer takes place, thus allowing actions directly associated with the dma transfer, such as device commands, to be invoked with precise timing. Without this mechanism, there is no way for a driver to realize this timing. Also adds a user pointer to the command structure for use by the caller to reference information that may be needed by the callback routine for proper identification and processing associated with that specific request. This change is necessary to fix problems associated with excessive command timeouts and race conditions in the mmc driver." This patch also fixes all the callers of msm_dmov_enqueue_cmd() to ensure their callback function is NULL. 2008-10-22[ARM] msm: dma: various basic dma improvements and bugfixesBrian Swetland
San: - Propagate DM errors to the originator of the request. - Implement msm_dmov_stop_cmd() - Add return value to init code - Modify msm_dmov_stop_cmd() to support ungraceful flushing Arve: - Disable datamover interrupt when not in use. We turn off the interrrupt to allow power collapse from idle.
