2013-09-27arm: omap3: twl: add phy consumer data in twl4030_usb_dataKishon Vijay Abraham I
The PHY framework uses the phy consumer data populated in platform data in the case of non-dt boot to return the reference to the PHY when the controller (PHY consumer) requests for it. So populated the phy consumer data in the platform data of twl usb. Signed-off-by: Kishon Vijay Abraham I <kishon@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-06-12ARM: OMAP: add vdds_dsi supply for omapdss_dpi.0Tomi Valkeinen
DPI driver gets currently the vdds_dsi regulator via omapdss device. This is not correct, and we'll change the DPI driver to get the regulator directly via omapdss_dpi.0 device. This patch changes the relevant board files to add vdds_dsi supply for omapdss_dpi.0 device. Note that the vdds_dsi supply for omapdss device is still left there, as the current display driver uses it. When both the board files and the display driver has been changed, we can remove the unused supply. 2012-11-12ARM: OMAP4: TWL: mux sys_drm_msecure as output for PMICKevin Hilman
On OMAP4 boards using the TWL6030 PMIC, the sys_drm_msecure is connected to the MSECURE input of the TWL6030 PMIC. This signal controls the secure-mode operation of the PMIC. If its not mux'd correctly, some functionality of the PMIC will not be accessible since the PMIC will be in secure mode. For example, if the TWL RTC is in secure mode, most of its registers are read-only, meaning (re)programming the RTC (e.g. for wakeup from suspend) will fail. To fix, ensure the signal is properly mux'd as output when TWL is intialized. This fix is required when using recent versions of u-boot (>= v2012.04.01) since u-boot is no longer setting the default mux for this pin. Partly because of additional API support and partly because of constantly developed ASoC and ARM stuff. Some highlights: - Introduced the helper function and documentation for exposing the channel map via control API, as discussed in Plumbers; most of PCI drivers are covered, will follow more drivers later - Most of drivers have been replaced with the new PM callbacks (if the bus is supported) - HD-audio controller got the support of runtime PM and the support of D3 clock-stop. Also changing the power_save option in sysfs kicks off immediately to enable / disable the power-save mode. - Another significant code change in HD-audio is the rewrite of firmware loading code. Other than that, most of changes in HD-audio are continued cleanups and standardization for the generic auto parser and bug fixes (HBR, device-specific fixups), in addition to the support of channel-map API. - Addition of ASoC bindings for the compressed API, used by the mid-x86 drivers. - Lots of cleanups and API refreshes for ASoC codec drivers and DaVinci. - Conversion of OMAP to dmaengine. - New machine driver for Wolfson Microelectronics Bells. - New CODEC driver for Wolfson Microelectronics WM0010. - Enhancements to the ux500 and wm2000 drivers - A new driver for DA9055 and the support for regulator bypass mode." 2012-10-08ARM: OMAP2+: PM: MPU DVFS: use generic CPU device for MPU-SSKevin Hilman
Currently, a dummy omap_device is created for the MPU sub-system so that a device node exists for MPU DVFS. Specifically, for the association of MPU OPPs to a device node, and so that a voltage regulator can be mapped to a device node. For drivers to get a handle to this device node, an OMAP-specific API has been used. However, the kernel already has device nodes for the CPU(s) in the system, so we can use those instead of an OMAP-specific dummy device and then drivers (like OMAP CPUfreq) can use generic APIs. To use the existing CPU device nodes, modify the OPP creation and regulator registration to use the CPU0 device node for registraion. NOTE: this patch always uses CPU0 as the device node. On all OMAPs today, MPU DVFS scales all CPUs together, so this will not be a problem, but this assumption will need to be changed if independently scalable CPUs are introduced. 2012-09-12ARM: OMAP: Split plat/hardware.h, use local soc.h for omap2+Tony Lindgren
As the plat and mach includes need to disappear for single zImage work, we need to remove plat/hardware.h. Do this by splitting plat/hardware.h into omap1 and omap2+ specific files. The old plat/hardware.h already has omap1 only defines, so it gets moved to mach/hardware.h for omap1. For omap2+, we use the local soc.h that for now just includes the related SoC headers to keep this patch more readable. Note that the local soc.h still includes plat/cpu.h that can be dealt with in later patches. Let's also include plat/serial.h from common.h for all the board-*.c files. This allows making the include files local later on without patching these files again. Note that only minimal changes are done in this patch for the drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c driver to keep things compiling. Further patches are needed to eventually remove cpu_is_omap usage in the drivers. Also only minimal changes are done to sound/soc/omap/* to remove the unneeded includes and to define OMAP44XX_MCPDM_L3_BASE locally so there's no need to include omap44xx.h. While at it, also sort some of the includes in the standard way. 2012-09-12ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removalTony Lindgren
As the interrupts should only be defined in the platform_data, and eventually coming from device tree, there's no need to define them in header files. Let's remove the hardcoded references to irqs.h and fix up the includes so we don't rely on headers included in irqs.h. Note that we're defining OMAP_INTC_START as 0 to the interrupts. This will be needed when we enable SPARSE_IRQ. For some drivers we need to add #include <plat/cpu.h> for now until these drivers are fixed to remove cpu_is_omapxxxx() usage. While at it, sort som of the includes the standard way, and add the trailing commas where they are missing in the related data structures. Note that for drivers/staging/tidspbridge we just define things locally. Cc: Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>

2012-07-02ARM: OMAP4: TWL6030: ensure sys_nirq1 is mux'd and wakeup enabledKevin Hilman
The SYS_NIRQ1 pin is the interupt line for the PMIC part of the TWL6030 and interrupts from the PMIC are needed as wakeup sources. Ensure this pin is mux'd as input and has wakeup enabled so PMIC interupts (e.g. RTC) can be used as wakeup sources. Tested on OMAP4430/Panda. 2012-06-19ARM: OMAP2+: TWL: remove usage of pdata->irq_base/_endKevin Hilman
The TWL driver has been converted to use SPARSE_IRQ and no longer needs to be passed IRQ base/end. Since driver no longer uses these fields, so remove them from the reamaining users. 2012-05-09OMAP4: twl-common: Add twl6030 V1V8, V2V1 SMPS common configurationPeter Ujfalusi
V1V8 supply from twl6030 commonly used as VIO for the machine. V2V1 is adviced to supply the twl6040, and also to feed the twl6030's VCXIO_IN, and VDAC_IN inputs. Create the common regulator configurations for these regulators: Make the V2V1 as supply_regulator for VCXIO, VDAC. Add twl6040 (1-004b) as consumer for V1V8, and V2V1. 2012-04-16mfd: Convert twl6040 to i2c driver, and separate it from twl corePeter Ujfalusi
Complete the separation of the twl6040 from the twl core since it is a separate chip, not part of the twl6030 PMIC. Make the needed Kconfig changes for the depending drivers at the same time to avoid breaking the kernel build (vibra, ASoC components). 2011-09-30OMAP4: TWL: Add common omapdss suppliesTomi Valkeinen
OMAP DSS normally gets power from VCXIO on OMAP4. Add configuration for this into twl-common.c Mark VCXIO as always_on, as VCXIO is used by multiple components, including the MPU, and turning it off when DSS doesn't need it would lead the device to halt.
