2010-10-20arm: remove machine_desc.io_pg_offst and .phys_ioNicolas Pitre
Since we're now using addruart to establish the debug mapping, we can remove the io_pg_offst and phys_io members of struct machine_desc. The various declarations were removed using the following script: grep -rl MACHINE_START arch/arm | xargs \ sed -i '/MACHINE_START/,/MACHINE_END/ { /\.\(phys_io\|io_pg_offst\)/d }' [ Initial patch was from Jeremy Kerr, example script from Russell King ] Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nicolas.pitre@linaro.org> Acked-by: Eric Miao <eric.miao at canonical.com>

2010-01-15ARM: S3C: Rename s3c_device_usb to s3c_device_ohciBen Dooks
Prepare for the forthcoming device changes by renaming s3c_device_usb to s3c_device_ohci as this is what the device represents. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>
2009-12-01ARM: S3C: Update Simtec copyright statements from , to - [2]Ben Dooks
There are a number of statements of the form A, B or A, B, C where the numbers A,B,C are not consecutive. However, referencing [1] it is the correct thing to replace these with A-B or A-C as apropriate. 2009-05-18[ARM] S3C24XX: GPIO: Change to macros for GPIO numberingBen Dooks
Prepare to remove the large number of S3C2410_GPxn defines by moving to S3C2410_GPx(n) in arch/arm. The following perl was used to change the files: perl -pi~ -e 's/S3C2410_GP([A-Z])([0-9]+)([^_^0-9])/S3C2410_GP\1\(\2\)\3/g' Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>
2009-05-18[ARM] S3C24XX: GPIO: Move gpio functions out of <mach/hardware.h>Ben Dooks
Move all the gpio functions out of <mach/hardware.h> as this file is for defining the generic IO base addresses for the kernel IO calls. Make a new header <mach/gpio-fns.h> to take this and include it via the chain from <linux/gpio.h> which is what most of these files should be using (and will be changed as soon as possible). Note, this does make minor changes to some drivers but should not mess up any pending merges. 2009-05-17[ARM] S3C24XX: GPIO: Remove pin specific input and output definesBen Dooks
The use of S3C2410_GP[A-Z]x_INP and S3C2410_GP[A-Z]x_OUTP are very rare and are taking up large amounts of space in the regs-gpio.h header. The GPIO layer has had generic input and out defines called S3C2410_GPIO_INPUT and S3C2410_GPIO_OUTPUT for a while which work for all S3C24XX GPIOs. Do the following replacements: S3C2410_GP[A-Z][0-9]*_\OUTP => S3C2410_GPIO_OUTPUT S3C2410_GP[A-Z][0-9]*_\INP => /S3C2410_GPIO_INPUT S3C2410_GPA[0-9]*_OUT => S3C2410_GPIO_OUTPUT to remove any usages of these and prepare the header for the removal of these. The following command was used to acheive this: find . -type f -writable ! -name regs-gpio.h ! -name "*~" | xargs sed -i~ -e 's/S3C2410_GP[A-Z][0-9]*_\OUTP/S3C2410_GPIO_OUTPUT/g' -e 's/S3C2410_GP[A-Z][0-9]*_\INP/S3C2410_GPIO_INPUT/g' -e 's/S3C2410_GPA[0-9]*_OUT/S3C2410_GPIO_OUTPUT/g' Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>

2008-10-07[ARM] S3C24XX: Move files out of include/asm-arm/plat-s3c*Ben Dooks
First move of items out of include/asm-arm/plat-s3c* to their new homes under arch/arm/plat-s3c/include/plat and arch/arm/plat-s3c24xx/include/plat directories. Note, we have to create a dummy arch/arm/plat-s3c/Makefile to allow us to add arch/arm/plat-s3c/include/plat to the path. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>

2008-08-07[ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King
Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-07-15[ARM] S3C24XX: s3c243xx_clock_register() data can be __initdataBen Dooks
Any data being passed to s3c243xx_clock_register() can be marked as __initdata as it is an array of pointers to 'struct clk' that are to be registered on initialisation. The s3c243xx_clock_register function uses this array to register clocks and does not require it to stay around after exit. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>

2008-07-03[ARM] BAST/VR1000: Move to using ata_platform (libata)Ben Dooks
Use the pata_platform driver to provide the IDE port drivers on the Simntec BAST and Thorcom VR1000 machines as a precursor to removing drivers/ide/arm/bast-ide.c This will mean that the system will need SCSI and SCSI disc support as a minimum, and any references to hdX will be changed to sdX. 2008-07-03[ARM] S3C2410: Fix flags on DM9000 resources on BAST and VR1000Ben Dooks
Fix the flags entries for the DM9000 IRQ entries on both the Simtec BAST and Thorcom VR1000 board. The current entries use the IRQF_ flags, but we should be using the IORESOURCE_IRQ_ definitions. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> PATCH FOLLOWS KernelVersion: 2.6.26-rc5
2008-05-22[ARM] 5041/1: VR1000: Fix DM9000 IRQ flags initialisationBen Dooks

2008-04-17[ARM] 4986/1: S3C24XX: Simtec machines need UCLK as parent to DCLKBen Dooks
All current Simtec designs source the DCLK outputs from the UPLL. This means the DCLK's parent must be set to UPLL so that anything enabling and disabling an UPLL sourced clock does not shutdown the DCLK due to missing open counts. 2008-01-28[ARM] 4729/1: VR1000: Do not add IIS device on initialisationBen Dooks
The IIS device is being registered by the Simtec Audio driver, and thus registering here causes an error due to device tree naming collision. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-07-22[ARM] 4508/1: S3C: Move items to include/asm-arm/plat-s3cBen Dooks

2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
