2012-02-28rtc: sa1100: declare irq in resourceHaojian Zhuang
Avoid to hard coded irq in rtc-sa1100 driver since we could share it among arch-sa1100/arch-pxa/arch-mmp. We still keep hard coded register address since the requirement is enabling both rtc-sa1100 and rtc-pxa driver. bus." This reverts commit 5dd7bf59e0e8563265b3e5b33276099ef628fcc7. Conflicts: scripts/mod/file2alias.c This change is wrong on many levels. First and foremost, it causes a regression. On boot on Assabet, which this patch gives a codec id of 'ucb1x00', it gives: ucb1x00 ID not found: 1005 0x1005 is a valid ID for the UCB1300 device. Secondly, this patch is way over the top in terms of complexity. The only device which has been seen to be connected with this MCP code is the UCB1x00 (UCB1200, UCB1300 etc) devices, and they all use the same driver. Adding a match table, requiring the codec string to match the hardware ID read out of the ID register, etc is completely over the top when we can just read the hardware ID register.

2012-01-13GPIO: sa1100: implement proper gpiolib gpio_to_irq conversionRussell King
The existing gpio_to_irq() implementation on sa1100 only translates validly for internal GPIOs. Since this sub-arch enables GPIOLIB support, this results in buggy translations for non-internal GPIOs. Get rid of the private gpio_to_irq() implementation, replacing it with the .to_irq method in the sa1100 gpio chip instead. 2012-01-05ARM: restart: remove the now empty arch_reset()Russell King
Remove the now empty arch_reset() from all the mach/system.h includes, and remove its callsite. Remove arm_machine_restart() as this function no longer does anything useful. For samsung platforms, remove the include of mach/system-reset.h and plat/system-reset.h from their respective mach/system.h headers as these just define their arch_reset functions. As a result, the s3c2410 and plat-samsung system-reset.h files are no longer referenced, so remove these files entirely. 2011-12-18ARM: 7205/2: sched_clock: allow sched_clock to be selected at runtimeMarc Zyngier
sched_clock() is yet another blocker on the road to the single image. This patch implements an idea by Russell King: http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-omap/msg49561.html Instead of asking the platform to implement both sched_clock() itself and the rollover callback, simply register a read() function, and let the ARM code care about sched_clock() itself, the conversion to ns and the rollover. sched_clock() uses this read() function as an indirection to the platform code. If the platform doesn't provide a read(), the code falls back to the jiffy counter (just like the default sched_clock). This allow some simplifications and possibly some footprint gain when multiple platforms are compiled in. Among the drawbacks, the removal of the *_fixed_sched_clock optimization which could negatively impact some platforms (sa1100, tegra, versatile and omap). Tested on 11MPCore, OMAP4 and Tegra. 2011-11-21ARM: restart: only perform setup for restart when soft-restartingRussell King
We only need to set the system up for a soft-restart if we're going to be doing a soft-restart. Provide a new function (soft_restart()) which does the setup and final call for this, and make platforms use it. Eliminate the call to setup_restart() from the default handler. This means that platforms arch_reset() function is no longer called with the page tables prepared for a soft-restart, and caches will still be enabled. Boards used to specify zreladdr in their Makefile.boot with zreladdr-y := x, so conflicting zreladdrs were silently overwritten. This patch changes this to zreladdr-y += x, so that we end up with multiple words in zreladdr in such a case. We can detect this later and complain if necessary. Let's give their addruart macro some slack by providing an extra work register which will allow for much needed cleanups.
