2011-10-13pinctrl: add a driver for the U300 pinmuxLinus Walleij
This adds a driver for the U300 pinmux portions of the system controller "SYSCON". It also serves as an example of how to use the pinmux subsystem. This driver also houses the platform data for the only supported platform. This deletes the old U300 driver in arch/arm/mach-u300 and replace it with a driver using the new subsystem. The new driver is considerably fatter than the old one, but it also registers all 467 pins of the system and adds the power and EMIF pin groups and corresponding functions. The idea is to use this driver as a a reference for other implementation so it needs to be as complete and verbose as possible. Some platforms (like OMAP not to name it) are doing rather complicated hacks just to determine the base UART address to use. Let's give their addruart macro some slack by providing an extra work register which will allow for much needed cleanups. This is basically a no-op as this commit is only adding the extra argument to the macro but no one is using it yet. 2011-09-08ARM: 7083/1: rewrite U300 GPIO to use gpiolibLinus Walleij
This rewrites the U300 GPIO so as to use gpiolib and struct gpio_chip instead of just generic GPIO, hiding all the platform specifics and passing in GPIO chip variant as platform data at runtime instead of the compiletime kludges. As a result <mach/gpio.h> is now empty for U300 and using just defaults. 2011-08-12ARM: gpio: make trivial GPIOLIB implementation the defaultRussell King
Rather than marking the mach/gpio.h header files which want to use the trivial GPIOLIB implementation, mark those which do not want to use it instead. This means that by default, you get the trivial implementation and only have to do something extra if you need to. This should encourage the use of the trivial default implementation. As an additional bonus, several gpio.h header files become empty. Many of the gpio_to_irq implementations use the gpiolib version of this function. Provide the standard gpiolib gpio_to_irq() for everyone, but allow platforms to override it if they wish. 2010-10-20arm: return both physical and virtual addresses from addruartJeremy Kerr
Rather than checking the MMU status in every instance of addruart, do it once in kernel/debug.S, and change the existing addruart macros to return both physical and virtual addresses. The main debug code can then select the appropriate address to use. This will also allow us to retreive the address of a uart for the MMU state that we're not current in. 2010-07-27ARM: 6225/1: make TCM allocation static and common for all archsLinus Walleij
This changes the TCM handling so that a fixed area is reserved at 0xfffe0000-0xfffeffff for TCM. This areas is used by XScale but XScale does not have TCM so the mechanisms are mutually exclusive. This change is needed to make TCM detection more dynamic while still being able to compile code into it, and is a must for the unified ARM goals: the current TCM allocation at different places in memory for each machine would be a nightmare if you want to compile a single image for more than one machine with TCM so it has to be nailed down in one place. This is intented to serve as starting point for our mainling work, more patches to follow.
