2012-04-22ARM: spear: remove most mach/*.h header contentsArnd Bergmann
The register and irq definitions in mach/*.h for spear3xx and spear6xx are now mostly obsolete, after the platforms have been converted to device tree based probing and the data is now part of the device tree files. The misc_regs.h contents are moved into clock.c because that is the only user, aside from the DMA_CHN_CFG that should eventually get handled differently. Some of the contents of mach/spear.h still remain, because they are used to set up the static map table, timer, uart and auxdata tables, but almost everything got removed. We might remove everything but the map table as the DT conversion completes, but that is not a priority. I've also made sure to make both copies of spear.h more or less identical so we can eventually combine them. The spear3?0.h files were only used by the spear3?0.c files, so I merged the contents in there and removed the bits that were unused. This is something that should still be looked at. 2011-09-26ARM: add an extra temp register to the low level debugging addruart macroNicolas Pitre
Some platforms (like OMAP not to name it) are doing rather complicated hacks just to determine the base UART address to use. Let's give their addruart macro some slack by providing an extra work register which will allow for much needed cleanups. This is basically a no-op as this commit is only adding the extra argument to the macro but no one is using it yet. 2011-03-09ARM: 6788/1: SPEAr: Include mach/hardware.h instead of mach/spear.hviresh kumar
This patch makes inclusion of hardware.h and spear.h consistent over all spear variants. Now we will include hardware.h, wherever we need to use hardware macros. spear.h will be automatically included by hardware.h Signed-off-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@st.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2010-10-20arm: return both physical and virtual addresses from addruartJeremy Kerr
Rather than checking the MMU status in every instance of addruart, do it once in kernel/debug.S, and change the existing addruart macros to return both physical and virtual addresses. The main debug code can then select the appropriate address to use. This will also allow us to retreive the address of a uart for the MMU state that we're not current in. Updated with fixes for OMAP from Jason Wang <jason77.wang@gmail.com> and Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>, and fix for versatile express from Lorenzo Pieralisi <lorenzo.pieralisi@arm.com>.
