2014-01-14ARM: S3C[24|64]xx: move includes back under <mach/> scopeLinus Walleij
When refactoring and breaking out the includes for the machine-specific GPIO configuration, two files were created in <linux/platform_data/gpio-samsung-s3c[24|64]xx.h>, but as that namespace shall be used for defining data exchanged between machines and drivers, using it for these broad macros and config settings is wrong. Move the headers back into the machine-local <mach/gpio-samsung.h> file and think about the next step. 2013-12-20ARM: s3c64xx: get rid of custom <mach/gpio.h>Linus Walleij
This isolates the custom S3C64xx GPIO definition table to <linux/platform_data/gpio-samsung-s3x64xx.h> as this is used in a few different places in the kernel, removing the need to depend on the implicit inclusion of <mach/gpio.h> from <linux/gpio.h> and thus getting rid of a few nasty cross-dependencies. Also delete the CONFIG_SAMSUNG_GPIO_EXTRA stuff. Instead roof the number of GPIOs for this platform: First sum up all the GPIO banks from A to Q: 187 GPIOs. Add the 16 "board GPIOs" and the roof for SAMSUNG_GPIO_EXTRA, 128, so in total maximum 187+16+128 = 331 GPIOs, so let's take the same roof as for S3C24XX: 512. This way we can do away with the GPIO calculation macros for GPIO_BOARD_START, BOARD_NR_GPIOS and the definition of ARCH_NR_GPIOS. 2013-12-20ARM: s3c24xx: get rid of custom <mach/gpio.h>Linus Walleij
This isolates the custom S3C24xx GPIO definition table to <linux/platform_data/gpio-samsung-s3x24xx.h> as this is used in a few different places in the kernel, removing the need to depend on the implicit inclusion of <mach/gpio.h> from <linux/gpio.h> and thus getting rid of a few nasty cross-dependencies. We also delete the nifty CONFIG_S3C24XX_GPIO_EXTRA stuff. The biggest this can ever be for the S3C24XX is CONFIG_S3C24XX_GPIO_EXTRA = 128, and then for CPU_S3C2443 or CPU_S3C2416 32*12 GPIOs are added, so 32*12+128 = 512 is the absolute roof value on this platform. So we set the size of ARCH_NR_GPIO to this and the GPIOs array will fit any S3C24XX platform, as per pattern from other archs. ChangeLog v2->v3: - Move the movement of the S3C64XX gpio.h file out of this patch and into the follow-up patch where it belongs. ChangeLog v1->v2: - Added an #ifdef ARCH_S3C24XX around the header inclusion in drivers/gpio/gpio-samsung.c as we would otherwise have colliding definitions when compiling S3C64XX. - Rename inclusion guard in the header file. The diffstat is large, mostly because of: - Another set of fixes to fix regressions caused by moving OMAP from board files to DT. Tony thinks this was the last major set of fixes, with maybe just a few small patches to follow. - More fixes for Marvell platforms, most dealing with misdescribed PCIe hardware, i.e. incorrect number of busses on some SoCs, etc. The line delta adds up due to various ranges moving around when this is fixed. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap into fixes From Tony Lindgren: Some omap related fixes that have come up with people moving to device tree only based booting for omap2+. The series contains a handful of fixes for the igep boards as they were one of the first omap3 boards to jump over completely to device tree based booting. So these can be considered regressions compared to booting igep in legacy mode with board files in v3.12. Also included are few other device tree vs legacy booting regressions: - yet more missing omap3 .dtsi entries that have showed up booting various boards with device tree only - n900 eMMC device tree fix - fixes for beagle USB EHCI - two fixes to make omap2420 MMC work As we're moving omap2+ to be device tree only for v3.14, I'd like to have v3.13 work equally well for legacy based booting and device tree based booting. So there will be likely few more device tree related booting patches trickling in. This series also includes a regression fix for the omap timer posted mode that may wrongly stay on from the bootloader for some SoCs. * tag 'omap-for-v3.13/fixes-against-rc1-take2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap: mmc: omap: Fix I2C dependency and make driver usable with device tree mmc: omap: Fix DMA configuration to not rely on device id ARM: dts: omap3-beagle: Fix USB host on beagle boards (for 3.13) ARM: dts: omap3-igep0020: name twl4030 VPLL2 regulator as vdds_dsi ARM: dts: AM33XX IGEP0033: add USB support ARM: dts: AM33XX BASE0033: add 32KBit EEPROM support ARM: dts: AM33XX BASE0033: add pinmux and user led support ARM: dts: AM33XX BASE0033: add pinmux and hdmi node to enable display ARM: dts: omap3-igep0020: Add pinmuxing for DVI output ARM: dts: omap3-igep0020: Add pinmux setup for i2c devices ARM: dts: omap3-igep: Update to use the TI AM/DM37x processor ARM: dts: omap3-igep: Add support for LBEE1USJYC WiFi connected to SDIO ARM: dts: omap3-igep: Fix bus-width for mmc1 ARM: OMAP2+: dss-common: change IGEP's DVI DDC i2c bus ARM: OMAP2+: Disable POSTED mode for errata i103 and i767 ARM: OMAP2+: Fix eMMC on n900 with device tree ARM: OMAP2+: Add fixed regulator to omap2plus_defconfig ARM: OMAP2+: Fix more missing data for omap3.dtsi file Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>

2013-11-30ARM: 7897/1: kexec: Use the right ISA for relocate_new_kernelDave Martin
Copying a function with memcpy() and then trying to execute the result isn't trivially portable to Thumb. This patch modifies the kexec soft restart code to copy its assembler trampoline relocate_new_kernel() using fncpy() instead, so that relocate_new_kernel can be in the same ISA as the rest of the kernel without problems. 2013-11-30ARM: 7895/1: signal: fix armv7-m build issue in sigreturn_codes.SVictor Kamensky
After "ARM: signal: sigreturn_codes should be endian neutral to work in BE8" commit, thumb only platforms, like armv7m, fails to compile sigreturn_codes.S. The reason is that for such arch values '.arm' directive and arm opcodes are not allowed. Fix conditionally enables arm opcodes only if no CONFIG_CPU_THUMBONLY defined and it uses .org instructions to keep sigreturn_codes layout. 2013-11-30ARM: fix booting low-vectors machinesRussell King
Commit f6f91b0d9fd9 (ARM: allow kuser helpers to be removed from the vector page) required two pages for the vectors code. Although the code setting up the initial page tables was updated, the code which allocates page tables for new processes wasn't, neither was the code which tears down the mappings. Fix this. 2013-11-26ARM: dts: omap3-beagle: Fix USB host on beagle boards (for 3.13)Roger Quadros
Beagle (rev. C4) and Beagle-XM (all revs) need VAUX2 1.8V supply for the USB PHY. As the generic PHY driver can't handle more than one supply at the moment, we configure this supply to be always on. This will cause a very small power impact if the USB host subsystem is not in use, about 76.86 micro-W + LDO power. Older Beagle boards (prior to C4) don't have VAUX2 connected anywhere, so there won't be any functional impact on those boards other than some additional LDO power consumption. 2013-11-26ARM: dts: omap3-igep: Update to use the TI AM/DM37x processorEnric Balletbo i Serra
Most of the boards are using the TI AM/DM37x processor, there is only a small quantity of IGEP Processor Boards based on TI OMAP3530. So it's better use the omap36xx.dtsi include instead of omap34xx.dtsi include. We can add support for the 34xx based variant later on as needed. 2013-11-26ARM: OMAP2+: dss-common: change IGEP's DVI DDC i2c busJavier Martinez Canillas
IGEP's DVI connector's DDC pins are connected to OMAP's third i2c bus. When booting with Device Trees the requested bus number is set to -1 which means that the bus number should be dynamically assigned. So the third i2c bus has 2 has a bus number. Since now only DT booting is supported for IGEP boards after commit 06ff74fd ("ARM: OMAP2+: remove legacy support for IGEP boards"), the i2c bus number has to be changed.
