2010-04-19powerpc/mpc8xxx defconfigs - turn off SYSFS_DEPRECATEDKim Phillips
a recent fc11 udev update on an 83xx board made root console login disappear: Updating : udev-141-8.fc11.ppc 32/83 udev: starting version 141 udev: deprecated sysfs layout; update the kernel or disable CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED; some udev features will not work correctly and sure enough, turning off SYSFS_DEPRECATED brings the login prompt back. 2009-04-07powerpc/85xx: TQM8548: update defconfigWolfgang Grandegger
Enable highmem support for the TQM8548-AG modules and NAND support for the TQM8548-BE modules. Furthermore disable USB, Wireless and IDE support because it's not available on the STK85xx starter kit. 2009-03-27powerpc/85xx: Add support for the "socrates" board (MPC8544).Wolfgang Grandegger
Supported are Ethernet, serial console, I2C, I2C-based RTC and temperature sensors, NOR and NAND flash, PCI, USB, CAN and Lime display controller. The multiplexing of FPGA interrupts onto PowerPC interrupt lines is supported through our own fpga_pic interrupt controller driver. For example the SJA1000 controller is level low sensitive connected to fpga_pic line 2 and is routed to the second (of three) irq lines to the CPU: can@3,100 { compatible = "philips,sja1000"; reg = <3 0x100 0x80>; interrupts = <2 2>; interrupts = <2 8 1>; // number, type, routing interrupt-parent = <&fpga_pic>; }; Signed-off-by: Sergei Poselenov <sposelenov@emcraft.com> Signed-off-by: Yuri Tikhonov <yur@emcraft.com> Signed-off-by: Ilya Yanok <yanok@emcraft.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Grandegger <wg@grandegger.com> Signed-off-by: Anatolij Gustschin <agust@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Rakhchev <rda@emcraft.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>

2009-01-26eeprom: More consistent symbol namesJean Delvare
Now that all EEPROM drivers live in the same place, let's harmonize their symbol names. Also fix eeprom's dependencies, it definitely needs sysfs, and is no longer experimental after many years in the kernel tree. 2008-12-30powerpc/85xx: Add SMP support to MPC8572 DSKumar Gala
Enable SMP support on the MPC8572 DS reference board. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-11-08powerpc: Updated Freescale PPC related defconfigsKumar Gala
unset CONFIG_PCI_LEGACY in the defconfigs as none of them enable ISDN drivers which seem to be the only place we are using pci_find_device Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-08-21powerpc: Update defconfigs for FSL PPC boardsKumar Gala
Since we are updated defconfigs I went ahead and moved the asp8347_defconfig under 83xx/ and the mpc8536_ds_defconfig under 85xx/ as that is where they should have been to start with. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-07-16powerpc: fix ALSA options in Freescale 85xx and 86xx defconfigsTimur Tabi
The defconfigs for Freescale 85xx and 86xx SOCs had bad choices for some audio related options. In particular, OSS emulation should be enabled, and the old ALSA API should be disabled. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-07-14powerpc/85xx: TQM8548: add missing support for RTC and LM75Wolfgang Grandegger

2008-04-17[POWERPC] 83xx/85xx: Reorganize defconfigsKumar Gala
Board specific defconfigs are useful, however with the ability to do multi-board defconfigs they aren't needed in the top level configs directory Move the 83xx/85xx board specific defconfigs to individual directories under arch/powerpc/configs. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
