2006-12-04[POWERPC] Refactor 64 bits DMA operationsBenjamin Herrenschmidt
This patch completely refactors DMA operations for 64 bits powerpc. 32 bits is untouched for now. We use the new dev_archdata structure to add the dma operations pointer and associated data to struct device. While at it, we also add the OF node pointer and numa node. In the future, we might want to look into merging that with pci_dn as well. The old vio, pci-iommu and pci-direct DMA ops are gone. They are now replaced by a set of generic iommu and direct DMA ops (non PCI specific) that can be used by bus types. The toplevel implementation is now inline. 2006-06-15[POWERPC] cleanup dma_mapping_opsAnton Blanchard
For pseries IOMMU bypass I want to be able to fall back to the regular IOMMU ops. Do this by creating a dma_mapping_ops struct, and convert the others while at it. Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2006-06-09[PATCH] powerpc: node-aware dma allocationsChristoph Hellwig
Make sure dma_alloc_coherent allocates memory from the local node. This is important on Cell where we avoid going through the slow cpu interconnect. Note: I could only test this patch on Cell, it should be verified on some pseries machine by those that have the hardware. 2006-04-29[PATCH] powerpc iommu: minor cleanupOlof Johansson
A couple of minor renames: * The iommu_table is no longer a part of the device node structure, so devnode_table is misleading * Rename struct device *-variables to hwdev Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2006-04-21[PATCH] powerpc: IOMMU support for honoring dma_maskOlof Johansson
Some devices don't support full 32-bit DMA address space, which we currently assume. Add the required mask-passing to the IOMMU allocators. Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2006-02-10[PATCH] powerpc: trivial: modify comments to refer to new location of filesJon Mason
This patch removes all self references and fixes references to files in the now defunct arch/ppc64 tree. I think this accomplises everything wanted, though there might be a few references I missed. Signed-off-by: Jon Mason <jdmason@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2005-11-14powerpc: Move most remaining ppc64 files over to arch/powerpcPaul Mackerras
Also deletes files in arch/ppc64 that are no longer used now that we don't compile with ARCH=ppc64 any more. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
