2013-12-30powerpc/iommu: Add it_page_shift field to determine iommu page sizeAlistair Popple
This patch adds a it_page_shift field to struct iommu_table and initiliases it to 4K for all platforms. Signed-off-by: Alistair Popple <alistair@popple.id.au> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2012-09-05powerpc: Remove all includes of <asm/abs_addr.h>Michael Ellerman
It's empty now, apart from other includes. Fixup a few files that were getting things via this header. Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <michael@ellerman.id.au> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2012-09-05powerpc/pasemi: Remove uses of virt_to_abs() and abs_to_virt()Michael Ellerman
These days they are just wrappers around __pa() and __va() respectively. Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <michael@ellerman.id.au> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2010-11-29powerpc/pasemi: Clean up pasemi iommu table initializationsNishanth Aravamudan
No need for empty helpers with iommu off, the ppc_md hooks are optional. The direct_dma_ops are the default pci_dma_ops, so no need to set in the them iommu off case. No need to set the device tree device_node pci node iommu pointer, its only used for dlpar remove. 2009-09-24powerpc: Change archdata dma_data to a unionBecky Bruce
Sometimes this is used to hold a simple offset, and sometimes it is used to hold a pointer. This patch changes it to a union containing void * and dma_addr_t. get/set accessors are also provided, because it was getting a bit ugly to get to the actual data. 2008-07-25powerpc/pseries: iommu enablement for CMORobert Jennings
To support Cooperative Memory Overcommitment (CMO), we need to check for failure from some of the tce hcalls. These changes for the pseries platform affect the powerpc architecture; patches for the other affected platforms are included in this patch. pSeries platform IOMMU code changes: * platform TCE functions must handle H_NOT_ENOUGH_RESOURCES errors and return an error. Architecture IOMMU code changes: * Calls to ppc_md.tce_build need to check return values and return DMA_MAPPING_ERROR for transient errors. Architecture changes: * struct machdep_calls for tce_build*_pSeriesLP functions need to change to indicate failure. * all other platforms will need updates to iommu functions to match the new calling semantics; they will return 0 on success. The other platforms default configs have been built, but no further testing was performed. 2008-07-22powerpc/dma: Use the struct dma_attrs in iommu codeMark Nelson
Update iommu_alloc() to take the struct dma_attrs and pass them on to tce_build(). This change propagates down to the tce_build functions of all the platforms. 2008-04-07[POWERPC] pasemi: Minor iommu cleanupOlof Johansson
Clean up the pwrficient iommu code a bit. It was using u32 *-based offsets for registers, which can be a bit confusing when comparing to the manual. Generated binaries from the code is unchanged from before. Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>
2008-02-01pasemi: Fix thinko in dma_direct_ops setupOlof Johansson
[POWERPC] pasemi: Fix thinko in dma_direct_ops setup The first patch will just fall through and still set dma_data to a bad value, make it return directly instead. 2008-01-31POWERPC: Set dma_data correctly for direct_ops on pasemiOlof Johansson
More late-caught fallout from the mainline merge. Commit 35e4a6e26d0c6bc7f32087db61f0fb3666531183 ("[POWERPC] Use archdata.dma_data in dma_direct_ops and add the offset") claimed "Now that all platforms using dma_direct_offset setup the archdata.dma_data correctly, ..." ..but nope -- the pasemi iommu setup code that disables translation on the DMA pci device didn't set dma_data correctly. This fixes it. Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

pasemi_mac: enable iommu support Enable IOMMU support for pasemi_mac, but avoid using it on non-partitioned systems for performance reasons. 2007-08-25[POWERPC] pasemi: Another IOMMU bugfix for 64K PAGE_SIZEOlof Johansson
More fallout from the switch from PAGE_SIZE based IOMMU to the native page size for the driver. By pure luck it happened to work most of the time, since we end up invalidating the wrong entries in the TLB.
