2012-08-13[media] dvb-usb: move it to drivers/media/usb/dvb-usbMauro Carvalho Chehab
As media/dvb will be removed, move it to a proper place. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2011-11-18USB: convert drivers/media/* to use module_usb_driver()Greg Kroah-Hartman
This converts the drivers in drivers/media/* to use the module_usb_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. Added bonus is that it removes some unneeded kernel log messages about drivers loading and/or unloading. 2008-06-26V4L/DVB (8042): DVB-USB UMT-010 channel scan oopsAustin Lund
In the umt-010 driver the struct umt_properties sets the number of URBs for transfer to 20. But in dvb-usb.h MAX_NO_URBS_FOR_DATA_STREAM is set to 10. Not surprisingly this causes an oops for all devices which use the umt-010 chipset when they are inserted. fix on Kaffeine channel scan for Initialize stream count using MAX_NO_URBS_FOR_DATA_STREAM. 2008-04-24V4L/DVB (7538): Adds selectable adapter numbers as per module optionJanne Grunau
The adapter_nr module options can be used to allocate static adapter numbers on a driver level. It avoids problems with changing DVB apapter numbers after warm/cold boot or device unplugging and repluging. Each driver holds DVB_MAX_ADAPTER long array of the preferred order of adapter numbers. options dvb-usb-dib0700 adapter_nr=7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0 would result in a reversed allocation of adapter numbers. With adapter_nr=2,5 it tries first to get adapter number 2 and 5. If both are already in use it will allocate the lowest free adapter number. 2007-07-18V4L/DVB (5780): Dvb: Remove static dependencies on dvb-pllMichael Krufky
This patch removes all static dependencies on the dvb-pll module. All exported dvb_pll_desc's have been UNexported, and the caller will reference the individual dvb_pll_desc by it's index in the pll_list array. 2006-10-03V4L/DVB (4643): Multi-input patch for DVB-USB devicePatrick Boettcher
This patch is the first commit of the Multiple Input Patch for the DVB-USB frame work. It changes the DVB-USB-device to be able to have more than one streaming input (e.g. multiple DVB-T sources) on one device. This is a necessary feature for the upcoming DiB7700 driven devices. 2006-06-25V4L/DVB (4028): Change dvb_frontend_ops to be a real field instead of a ↵Patrick Boettcher
pointer field inside dvb_frontend The dvb_frontend_ops is a pointer inside dvb_frontend. That's why every demod-driver is having a field of dvb_frontend_ops in its private-state-struct and using the reference for filling the pointer-field in dvb_frontend. - It saves at least two lines of code per demod-driver, - reduces object size (one less dereference per frontend_ops-access), - be coherent with dvb_tuner_ops, - makes it a little bit easier for newbies to understand how it works and - avoids stupid mistakes because you would have to copy the dvb_frontend_ops always, before you could assign the static pointer directly, which was dangerous.
