2014-12-16[media] vino/saa7191: move to staging in preparation for removalHans Verkuil
These drivers haven't been tested in a long, long time. The hardware is ancient and hopelessly obsolete. These drivers also need to be converted to newer media frameworks but due to the lack of hardware that's going to be impossible. So these drivers are a prime candidate for removal. If someone is interested in working on these drivers to prevent their removal, then please contact the linux-media mailinglist. 2014-03-14[media] V4L: Add driver for s5k6a3 image sensorSylwester Nawrocki
This patch adds subdev driver for Samsung S5K6A3 raw image sensor. As it is intended at the moment to be used only with the Exynos FIMC-IS (camera ISP) subsystem it is pretty minimal subdev driver. It doesn't do any I2C communication since the sensor is controlled by the ISP and its own firmware. This driver, if needed, can be updated in future into a regular subdev driver where the main CPU communicates with the sensor directly. 2014-03-11[media] lm3646: add new dual LED Flash driverDaniel Jeong
This patch adds the driver for the LM3646, dual LED Flash driver. The LM3646 has two 1.5A sync. boost converter with dual white current source. It is controlled via an I2C compatible interface. Each flash brightness, torch brightness and enable/disable can be controlled. Under voltage, input voltage monitor and thermal threshhold Faults are added. 2014-01-07[media] saa6752hs: move to media/i2cHans Verkuil
This driver is independent from saa7134, so there is no reason why this shouldn't be in media/i2c like all other i2c media drivers. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <m.chehab@samsung.com>
2013-12-21[media] Add driver for Samsung S5K5BAF camera sensorAndrzej Hajda
Driver for Samsung S5K5BAF UXGA 1/5" 2M CMOS Image Sensor with embedded SoC ISP. The device is exposed as two V4L2 subdevices: - S5K5BAF-CIS - the image sensor matrix, fixed 1600x1200 format, no controls. - S5K5BAF-ISP - the Image Signal Processor, formats up to 1600x1200, pre/post ISP cropping, downscaling via selection API, controls. 2013-12-20[media] omap24xx/tcm825x: move to staging for future removalHans Verkuil
The omap24xx driver and the tcm825x sensor driver are the only two remaining drivers to still use the old deprecated v4l2-int-device API. Nobody maintains these drivers anymore. But unfortunately the v4l2-int-device API is used by out-of-tree drivers (MXC platform). This is a very bad situation since as long as this deprecated API stays in the kernel there is no reason for those out-of-tree drivers to convert. This patch moves v4l2-int-device and the two drivers that depend on it to staging in preparation for their removal. If someone would be interested in getting these drivers to work, then start with this since it's not very far from the state where they used to work: <URL:http://vihersipuli.retiisi.org.uk/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=~sailus/linux-omap/.git;a=summary> The branch is n800-cam. Porting to up-to-date APIs can then be done. David might have done some work in that area, so check with him first. 2013-03-24[media] sony-btf-mpx: the MPX driver for the sony BTF PAL/SECAM tunerHans Verkuil
The Sony BTF PG472Z has an internal MPX to deal with mono/stereo/bilingual audio. This is split off from the wis-sony-tuner driver that is part of the go7007 driver as it should be a separate i2c sub-device driver. The wis-sony-tuner is really three i2c devices: a standard tuner, a tda9887 compatible demodulator and this mpx. After this patch the wis-sony-tuner can be replaced by this driver and the standard tuner driver. 2013-02-08[media] tveeprom: move from media/i2c to media/commonHans Verkuil
The tveeprom module is a helper module for Hauppauge-based eeproms. It's used by many drivers and the i2c part is actually optional, so this driver is better placed in the media/common directory. 2013-02-08[media] btcx-risc: move from media/i2c to media/commonHans Verkuil
The btcx-risc module is a helper module for bttv/conexant based TV cards. It isn't an i2c module at all, instead it should be in common since it is used by 4 pci drivers. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2013-02-08[media] cx2341x: move from media/i2c to media/commonHans Verkuil
The cx2341x module is a helper module for conexant-based MPEG encoders. It isn't an i2c module at all, instead it should be in common since it is used by 7 pci and usb drivers to handle the MPEG setup. It also shouldn't be visible in the config menu as it is always selected automatically by those drivers that need it. 2013-02-05[media] V4L: Add S5C73M3 camera driverAndrzej Hajda
Add driver for S5C73M3 image sensor. The driver exposes the sensor as two subdevs: pure sensor and output interface. Two subdev architecture supports interleaved UYVY/JPEG image format with separate frame size for both sub-formats, there is a spearate pad for each sub-format. 2013-02-05[media] V4L: Add driver for OV9650/52 image sensorsSylwester Nawrocki
This patch adds V4L2 sub-device driver for OV9650/OV9652 image sensors. The driver exposes following V4L2 controls: - auto/manual exposure, - auto/manual white balance, - auto/manual gain, - brightness, saturation, sharpness, - horizontal/vertical flip, - color bar test pattern, - banding filter (power line frequency). Frame rate can be configured with g/s_frame_interval pad level ops. Supported resolution are only: SXGA, VGA, QVGA. 2012-09-13[media] ad9389b: driver for the Analog Devices AD9389B video encoderHans Verkuil
Initial version of this driver. The full datasheets are available from the Analog Devices website: http://ez.analog.com/docs/DOC-1741 Not all features of the receiver are supported by this driver for various reasons. Most notably: - No CEC support (the CEC API needs a lot more discussion) - No HDCP repeater support (we don't use that either) I'm sure that there are more things missing, but this driver does work well for our hardware. Note that I am using the register addresses instead of register names: the datasheet containing the register descriptions is organized by register address. Using names would make the datasheet lookup very hard. An attempt was made to try and document what is being done when registers are used instead. Initial version of this driver. The full datasheets are available from the Analog Devices website: http://ez.analog.com/docs/DOC-1545 Not all features of the receiver are supported by this driver for various reasons. Most notably: - No CEC support (the CEC API needs a lot more discussion) - Only port A of the four HDMI input ports is implemented (our hardware only uses that port) - No HDCP repeater support (we don't use that either) And since there are some 600-odd pages of datasheet for this single device, I'm sure that there are many more things missing, but this driver does work well for our hardware.
