2012-08-15[media] rename most media/video pci drivers to media/pciMauro Carvalho Chehab
Rename all PCI drivers with their own directory under drivers/media/video into drivers/media/pci and update the building system. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2012-08-13[media] common: move media/common/tuners to media/tunersMauro Carvalho Chehab
Move the tuners one level up, as the "common" directory will be used by drivers that are shared between more than one driver. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2012-08-13[media] move the dvb/frontends to drivers/media/dvb-frontendsMauro Carvalho Chehab
Raise the DVB frontends one level up, as the intention is to remove the drivers/media/dvb directory. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2012-08-13[media] dvb: move the dvb core one level upMauro Carvalho Chehab
just like the V4L2 core, move the DVB core to drivers/media, as the intention is to get rid of both "video" and "dvb" directories. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2012-03-08[media] media: ivtv: append $(srctree) to -I parametersAndy Shevchenko
Without this we have got the warnings like following if build with "make W=1 O=/var/tmp": cc1: warning: drivers/media/dvb/dvb-core: No such file or directory [enabled by default] Signed-off-by: Andy Shevchenko <andriy.shevchenko@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2011-09-03[media] drivers/media: do not use EXTRA_CFLAGSArnaud Lacombe
Usage of these flags has been deprecated for nearly 4 years by: commit f77bf01425b11947eeb3b5b54685212c302741b8 Author: Sam Ravnborg <sam@neptun.(none)> Date: Mon Oct 15 22:25:06 2007 +0200 kbuild: introduce ccflags-y, asflags-y and ldflags-y Moreover, these flags (at least EXTRA_CFLAGS) have been documented for command line use. By default, gmake(1) do not override command line setting, so this is likely to result in build failure or unexpected behavior. Replace their usage by Kbuild's `{as,cc,ld}flags-y'. 2008-04-29V4L/DVB(7767): Move tuners to common/tunersMauro Carvalho Chehab
There were several issues in the past, caused by the hybrid tuner design, since now, the same tuner can be used by drivers/media/dvb and drivers/media/video. Kconfig items were rearranged, to split V4L/DVB core from their drivers. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
2008-01-25V4L/DVB (6944): Fix in-kernel ivtv compilationMauro Carvalho Chehab
Due to tuner-xc2028.h, some extra directories should be added at .h search. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
2007-10-09V4L/DVB (6119): ivtvfb: renamed ivtv-fb to ivtvfb, move header to include/linuxHans Verkuil
The convention for framebuffer devices is to call them xxxfb, not xxx-fb. Conform to this. Also move the ivtvfb.h header to include/linux: it is a public header. The FBIO_WAITFORVSYNC ioctl is now also defined in the ivtvfb.h header, no more need to include matroxfb.h for just this ioctl. 2007-10-09V4L/DVB (6092): ivtv: more cleanups, merged ivtv-audio.c and ivtv-video.c ↵Hans Verkuil
into ivtv-routing.c Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil@xs4all.nl> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
2007-10-09V4L/DVB (5902): Add ivtv-fb framebuffer driver.Hans Verkuil
Add the ivtv-fb framebuffer driver for cx23415 devices (currently only the Hauppauge PVR-350 cards). This makes it possible to use the On-Screen Display functionality of these cards, either for menus during MPEG playback, or as a console or X display. 2007-04-27V4L/DVB (5345): ivtv driver for Conexant cx23416/cx23415 MPEG encoder/decoderHans Verkuil
It took three core maintainers, over four years of work, eight new i2c modules, eleven new V4L2 ioctls, three new DVB video ioctls, a Sliced VBI API, a new MPEG encoder API, an enhanced DVB video MPEG decoding API, major YUV/OSD contributions from Ian and John, web/wiki/svn/trac support from Axel Thimm, (hardware) support from Hauppauge, support and assistance from the v4l-dvb people and the many, many users of ivtv to finally make it possible to merge this driver into the kernel. Thank you all!
