2009-02-17drivers/net/tulip: fix sparse warning: symbol shadows an earlier oneHannes Eder
Impact: Rename a local variable resp. remove a redundant variable and while being at it use more unform loop constructs. Fix this sparse warning: drivers/net/tulip/de4x5.c:3944:13: warning: symbol 'i' shadows an earlier one drivers/net/tulip/de4x5.c:3938:9: originally declared here drivers/net/tulip/media.c:72:21: warning: symbol 'i' shadows an earlier one drivers/net/tulip/media.c:54:13: originally declared here drivers/net/tulip/media.c:134:21: warning: symbol 'i' shadows an earlier one drivers/net/tulip/media.c:117:13: originally declared here Signed-off-by: Hannes Eder <hannes@hanneseder.net> Signed-off-by: David S. 2008-06-24drivers/net/tulip: update first comment in tulip filesGrant Grundler
Three basic changes to the comments at the top of each file: 1) remove stale "Maintained by" line...I prefer people look in MAINTAINERS. 2) Drop reference to stale sf.net/tulip website (I didn't see anything of value there) 3) Point people at bugzilla.kernel.org to submit bugs...will always get tracked regardless of who the maintainer is. 2007-04-28TULIP: Natsemi dp83840a PHY fixThibaut VARENE
Fix a problem with Tulip 21142 HP branded PCI cards (PN#: B5509-66001), which feature a NatSemi DP83840A PHY. Without that patch, it is impossible to properly initialize the card's PHY, and it's thus impossible to monitor/configure it. 2005-05-24[PATCH] tulip: add return to ULI526X clause in tulip_mdio_writeJohn W. Linville
The 'if' clause for ULI526X in tulip_mdio_write allows for spin_unlock_irqrestore to be called twice for tp->mii_lock. I believe this is caused by the unintentional omission of a return at the end of that clause. This patch adds that return. Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
