2010-02-27MIPS: Alchemy: XXS1500 PCMCIA driver rewriteManuel Lauss
Rewritten XXS1500 PCMCIA socket driver, standalone (doesn't depend on au1000_generic.c) and added carddetect IRQ support. Signed-off-by: Manuel Lauss <manuel.lauss@gmail.com> Cc: Florian Fainelli <florian@openwrt.org> Cc: Linux-PCMCIA <linux-pcmcia@lists.infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>
2010-02-27MIPS: PCMCIA: new socket driver for Au1000 demoboards.Manuel Lauss
New PCMCIA socket driver for all Db/Pb1xxx boards (except Pb1000), which replaces au1000_db1x00.c and (most of) au1000_pb1x00.c. Notable improvements: - supports Db1000, DB/PB1100/1500/1550/1200. - support for carddetect and statuschange IRQs. - pcmcia socket mem/io/attr areas and irqs passed through platform resource information. - doesn't freeze system during card insertion/ejection like the one it replaces. - boardtype is automatically detected using BCSR ID register. Run-tested on the DB1200. Cc: Linux-PCMCIA <linux-pcmcia@lists.infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Manuel Lauss <manuel.lauss@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org>

2009-12-13[ARM] pxa/zeus: make Viper pcmcia support more generic to support ZeusMarc Zyngier
The Arcom Zeus CF slot requires the same kind of support as the Viper. To avoid code duplication, introduce a platform device that abstracts the differences. This also allows for the removal of the ugly export of viper_cf_rst(). Signed-off-by: Marc Zyngier <maz@misterjones.org> Signed-off-by: Eric Miao <eric.y.miao@gmail.com>
2009-12-07pcmcia: CodingStyle fixesDominik Brodowski
Fix several CodingStyle issues in drivers/pcmcia/ . checkpatch.pl no longer reports errors in the PCMCIA core. The remaining warnings mostly relate to wrong indent -- PCMCIA historically used 4 spaces --, to lines over 80 characters and to hundreds of typedefs. The cleanup of those will follow in the future. 2009-11-09PCMCIA: soc_common: convert to a stand alone moduleRussell King - ARM Linux
Convert soc_common.c to be a stand alone module, rather than wrapping it up into the individual SoC specific base modules. In doing this, we need to add init/exit functions for soc_common to register/remove the cpufreq notifier. 2009-11-08pcmcia: use dynamic debug in PCMCIA socket driversDominik Brodowski
Make use of the dynamic debug infrastructure in various PCMCIA socket drivers. By doing so, only the drivers relying on soc_common make use of CONFIG_PCMCIA_DEBUG. Therefore, update the Kconfig entry accordingly. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>

2008-10-28sh: Kill off long-dead HD64465 cchip support.Paul Mundt
This code has been dead for many years. The last update it received was in 2003 in order to update it for the driver model changes, though it had already been in disarray and unused before that point. The only boards that ever used this chip have not had users in many years either, so it is finally safe to just kill it off and move on with life. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>

2008-09-09Add support for the Arcom/Eurotech Viper SBC CompactFlash card slotMarc Zyngier
The Arcom/Eurotech Viper needs some extra care to run. On this board, the PC104 connector is actually wired to the second PCMCIA slot. Therefore, this second socket needs to be enabled, despite not being managed by the PCMCIA code. I'd rather have the MECR setup in the platform support code so I could, for example, use the PC104 bus without having the PCMCIA module loaded. Signed-off-by: Marc Zyngier <marc.zyngier@altran.com>

2008-04-28ARM: always select HAVE_IDEAdrian Bunk
It's plain wrong for PCMCIA to select HAVE_IDE that implies e.g. the availability of an asm/ide.h It turns out this was done for ARM, and we can simply always select HAVE_IDE on ARM instead of manually tracking which platforms might possible have an IDE controller directly or indirectly. 2007-07-10[POWERPC] 8xx: mpc885ads pcmcia supportVitaly Bordug
Adds support for PowerQuicc on-chip PCMCIA. The driver is implemented as of_device, so only arch/powerpc stuff is capable to use it, which now implies only mpc885ads reference board. To cope with the code that should be hooked inside driver, but is really board specific (like set_voltage), global structure mpc8xx_pcmcia_ops holds necessary function pointers that are filled in the BSP code. 2006-07-10[PATCH] don't select CONFIG_HOTPLUGAndrew Morton
It's useful to be able to turn off CONFIG_HOTPLUG for compile-coverage testing and for section-checking coverage. But a few things go and select CONFIG_HOTPLUG, making it a royal PITA to turn the thing off. It's only turnable offable if CONFIG_EMBEDDED anyway. So let's make those things depend on HOTPLUG, not select it. 2006-01-06[PATCH] pcmcia: properly handle static mem, but dynamic io socketsDominik Brodowski
Some PCMCIA sockets have statically mapped memory windows, but dynamically mapped IO windows. Using the "nonstatic" socket library is inpractical for them, as they do neither need a resource database (as we can trust the kernel resource database on m68k and ppc) nor lots of other features of that library. Let them get a small "iodyn" socket library (105 lines of code) instead. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>

2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
