2014-11-06usb: gadget: f_hid: convert to new function interface with backward ↵Andrzej Pietrasiewicz
compatibility Converting hid to the new function interface requires converting the USB hid's function code and its users. This patch converts the f_hid.c to the new function interface. The file can now be compiled into a separate usb_f_hid.ko module. The old function interface is provided by means of a preprocessor conditional directives. After all users are converted, the old interface can be removed. Signed-off-by: Andrzej Pietrasiewicz <andrzej.p@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>

2014-06-30usb: gadget: net2280: Add support for PLX USB338XRicardo Ribalda Delgado
This patch adds support for the PLX USB3380 and USB3382. This driver is based on the driver from the manufacturer. Since USB338X is register compatible with NET2280, I thought that it would be better to include this hardware into net2280 driver. Manufacturer's driver only supported the USB33X, did not follow the Kernel Style and contain some trivial errors. This patch has tried to address this issues. This patch has only been tested on USB338x hardware, but the merge has been done trying to not affect the behaviour of NET2280. 2014-05-27usb: ohci: sort out dependencies for lpc32xx and omapArnd Bergmann
The dependency on the isp1301 driver is not something that should be in the main OHCI driver but rather the SoC specific part of it. This moves the dependency for LPC32xx into USB_OHCI_HCD_LPC32XX, and changes the 'select ISP1301_OMAP' to a similar 'depends on'. Since the same dependency exists for the client driver, do the same change there. Moves the s3c-hsotg driver into the dwc2 directory and uses the dwc2 defines in hw.h. Renames s3c-hsotg.c to gadget.c. NOTE: You can build both host and peripheral as a dynamically linked module, but be aware that if you insmod dwc2_gadget, then rmmod it, then insmod dwc2 and dwc2_platform for host mode, this will not work. As the step to rmmod dwc2_gadget.ko will turn off the clock to the USB IP. The dwc2 host driver currently does not look to turn on a clock yet. A patch to fix that will be coming soon. 2013-10-01usb: gadget: create a utility module for mass_storageAndrzej Pietrasiewicz
Converting to configfs requires making the f_mass_storage.c a module. But first we need to get rid of "#include "storage_common.c". This patch makes storage_common.c a separately compiled file, which is built as a utility module named u_ms.ko. After all mass storage users are converted to the new function interface this module can be eliminated by merging it with the mass storage function's module. USB descriptors are exported so that they can be accessed from f_mass_storage. FSG_VENDOR_ID and FSG_PRODUCT_ID are moved to their only user. Handling of CONFIG_USB_GADGET_DEBUG_FILES is moved to f_mass_storage.c. The fsg_num_buffers static is moved to FSG_MODULE_PARAMETER users, so instead of using a global variable the f_mass_storage introduces fsg_num_buffers member in fsg_common (and fsg_config). fsg_strings and fsg_stringtab are moved to f_mass_storage.c. 2013-07-29usb: phy: make PHY driver selection possible by controller driversRoger Quadros
Convert PHY Drivers from menuconfig to menu so that the PHY drivers can be explicitely selected by the controller drivers. USB_PHY is no longer a user visible option. It is upto to the PHY drivers to select it if needed. This patch does so for the existing PHY drivers that use the USB_PHY library. Doing so moves the USB_PHY and PHY driver selection problem from the end user to the PHY and controller driver developer. e.g. Earlier, a controller driver (e.g. EHCI_OMAP) that needs to select a PHY driver (e.g. NOP_PHY) couldn't do so because the PHY driver depended on USB_PHY. Making the controller driver depend on USB_PHY has a negative effect i.e. it becomes invisible to the user till USB_PHY is enabled. Most end users will not familiar with this. With this patch, the end user just needs to select the controller driver needed for his/her platform without worrying about which PHY driver to select. Also update USB_EHCI_MSM, USB_LPC32XX and USB_OMAP to not depend on USB_PHY any more. They can safely select the necessary PHY drivers. [ balbi@ti.com : refreshed on top of my next branch.
