2007-02-12[PATCH] remove broken video driversAdrian Bunk
Remove some video drivers that: - had already been marked as BROKEN in 2.6.0 three years ago and - are still marked as BROKEN. These are the following drivers: - FB_CYBER - FB_VIRGE - FB_RETINAZ3 - FB_SUN3 Drivers that had been marked as BROKEN for such a long time seem to be unlikely to be revived in the forseeable future. But if anyone wants to ever revive any of these drivers, the code is still present in the older kernel releases. 2006-12-08[PATCH] ioremap balanced with iounmap for drivers/video/retz3fbAmol Lad
ioremap must be balanced by an iounmap and failing to do so can result in a memory leak. Signed-off-by: Amol Lad <amol@verismonetworks.com> Cc: "Antonino A. Daplas" <adaplas@pol.net> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2006-07-10[PATCH] vt: Remove VT-specific declarations and definitions from tty.hJon Smirl
MAX_NR_CONSOLES, fg_console, want_console and last_console are more of a function of the VT layer than the TTY one. Moving these to vt.h and vt_kern.h allows all of the framebuffer and VT console drivers to remove their dependency on tty.h. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
