It adds a generic cpufreq driver for CPU0 frequency management based on
clk, regulator, OPP and device tree support. It can support both
uniprocessor (UP) and those symmetric multiprocessor (SMP) systems which
share clock and voltage across all CPUs.

With a lot of devices booting from device tree nowadays, it requires
that OPP table can be initialized from device tree. The patch adds
a helper function of_init_opp_table together with a binding doc for
that purpose.

These chips are now supported by acpi-cpufreq, so we can delete all the
code handling them.
Andre: Tighten the deprecation warning message. Trigger load of
acpi-cpufreq and let the load of the module finally fail.
This avoids the problem of users ending up without any cpufreq support
after the transition.

The powernow-k8 driver supported a sysfs knob called "cpb", which was
instantiated per CPU, but actually acted globally for the whole
system. To keep some compatibility with this feature, we re-introduce
this behavior here, but:
a) only enable it on AMD CPUs and
b) protect it with a Kconfig switch
I'd like to consider this feature obsolete. Lets keep it around for
some kernel versions and then phase it out.

One feature present in powernow-k8 that isn't present in acpi-cpufreq
is support for enabling or disabling AMD's core performance boost
technology. This patch adds support to acpi-cpufreq, but also
includes support for Intel's dynamic acceleration.
The original boost disabling sysfs file was per CPU, but acted
globally. Also the naming (cpb) was at least not intuitive.
So lets introduce a single file simply called "boost", which sits
once in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq.
This should be the only way of using this feature, so add
documentation about the rationale and the usage.
A following patch will re-introduce the cpb knob for compatibility
reasons on AMD CPUs.
Per-CPU boost switching is possible, but not trivial and is thus
postponed to a later patch series.

Some AMD systems may round the frequencies in ACPI tables to 100MHz
boundaries. We can obtain the real frequencies from MSRs, so add a quirk
to fix these frequencies up on AMD systems.

powernow-k8 is quite prematurely crying Hooray and outputs diagnostic
messages, although the actual initialization can still fail.
Since now we may have acpi-cpufreq already loaded, we move the
messages at the end of the init routine to avoid confusing output
if the loading of powernow-k8 should not succeed.

cpufreq modules are often loaded from init scripts that assume that
all recent AMD systems will use powernow-k8.
To inform the user of the change of support and ease the transition
to acpi-cpufreq, emit a warning message.

To workaround some Windows specific behavior, the ACPI _PSD table
on AMD desktop boards advertises all cores as dependent, meaning
that they all can only use the same P-state. acpi-cpufreq strictly
obeys this description, instantiating one CPU only and symlinking
the others. But the hardware can have distinct frequencies for each
core and powernow-k8 did it that way.
So, in order to use the hardware to its full potential and keep the
original powernow-k8 behavior, lets override the _PSD table setting
on AMD hardware.
We use the siblings table, as it matches the current hardware
behavior.

The programming model for P-states on modern AMD CPUs is very similar to
that of Intel and VIA. It makes sense to consolidate this support into one
driver rather than duplicating functionality between two of them. This
patch adds support for AMDs with hardware P-state control to acpi-cpufreq.

_PSS objects can also be missing if Cool'N'Quiet is disabled in the
BIOS. Add that to the FW_BUG message for the user to try before updating
her BIOS. Fix formatting while at it.

Adam Jackson added the quirk `EDID_QUIRK_FORCE_REDUCED_BLANKING` which
is also needed for this ASUS monitor.

Please note that this monitor only has a VGA (D-Sub) connector [1].

[this one ideally should make 3.6 - it fixes the very annoying mode setting bug]
This causes the pipe to be forced off prior to initial mode set, which
roughly mirrors the behavior of the i915 driver. It fixes initial mode
setting on my Intel DN2800MT (Cedarview) board. Without it, mode
setting triggers an out-of-range error from the monitor for most modes,
but only on initial configuration (i.e. they can be configured
successfully from userspace after that).

radeon_ring_restore is freeing the memory for the saved
ring data. We need to remember that, otherwise we try to
restore the ring data again on the next try. Additional
to that it shouldn't try the reset infinitely if we have
saved ring data.

It seems some of those IGP dislike non dma32 page despite what
documentation says. Fix regression since we allowed non dma32
pages. It seems it only affect some revision of those IGP chips
as we don't know which one just force dma32 for all of them.

Adjust the panel mode setup to match the behavior
of the vbios. Rather than checking for specific
bridge chip ids, just check the eDP configuration register.
This saves extra aux transactions and works across
DP bridge chips without requiring additional per chip
id checking.

Power gating is per crtc pair, but the powergating registers
should be called individually. The hw handles power up/down
properly. The pair is powered up if either crtc in the pair
is powered up and the pair is not powered down until both
crtcs in the pair are powered down. This simplifies
programming and should save additional power as the previous
code never actually power gated the crtc pair.

The ordering is important and the current drm code
wasn't cutting it for modern DIG encoders. We need
to have information about crtc before setting up
the encoders so I've shifted the ordering a bit.
Probably we'll need a full rework akin to danvet's
recent intel patchs. This patch fixes numerous
issues with DP bridge chips and makes link training
much more reliable.

Checking of the second colorbuffer was skipped on r700, because
CB_TARGET_MASK was 0xf. With r600, CB_TARGET_MASK is changed to 0xff,
so we must set the number of samples of the second colorbuffer to 1 in order
to pass the CS checker.
The DRM version is bumped, because RESOLVE_BOX is always rejected without this
fix on r600.

On some Fermi chipsets (NVCE particularly) PCOPY1 doesn't exist. And if
what I've seen on Kepler is true of Fermi too, chipsets of the same type
can have different PCOPY units available.
This should fix a v3.5 regression reported by a number of people effecting
suspend/resume on NVC8/NVCE chipsets.

This board is incorrectly detected as having an LVDS connector,
resulting in the VGA output (the only available output on the board)
showing the console only in the top-left 1024x768 pixels, and an extra
LVDS connector appearing in X.
It's a desktop Mini-ITX board using an Atom D525 CPU with an NM10
chipset.
I've had this board for about a year, but this is the first time I
noticed the issue because I've been running it headless for most of its
life.

The current layout is to place the per-process tables at the end of the
GTT. However, this is currently using a hardcoded maximum size for the GTT
and not taking in account limitations imposed by the BIOS. Use the value
for the total number of entries allocated in the table as provided by
the configuration registers.

Wrong order of parameters passed-in when calling hdmi/adpa
/lvds_pipe_enabled(), 2nd and 3rd parameters are reversed.

The old interface is bugged and reads the wrong sensor when retrieving
the reading for the chassis fan (it reads the CPU sensor); the new
interface works fine.
