2011-11-02w1: ds2760 and ds2780, use ida for id and ida_simple_get() to get itJonathan Cameron
Straightforward. As an aside, the ida_init calls are not needed as far as I can see needed. (DEFINE_IDA does the same already). 2011-11-02pps: new client driver using GPIOJames Nuss
This client driver allows you to use a GPIO pin as a source for PPS signals. Platform data [1] are used to specify the GPIO pin number, label, assert event edge type, and whether clear events are captured. This driver is based on the work by Ricardo Martins who submitted an initial implementation [2] of a PPS IRQ client driver to the linuxpps mailing-list on Dec 3 2010. 2011-11-02pps: default echo functionJames Nuss
A default echo function has been provided so it is no longer an error when you specify PPS_ECHOASSERT or PPS_ECHOCLEAR without an explicit echo function. This allows some code re-use and also makes it easier to write client drivers since the default echo function does not normally need to change. 2011-11-02RapidIO: add mport driver for Tsi721 bridgeAlexandre Bounine
Add RapidIO mport driver for IDT TSI721 PCI Express-to-SRIO bridge device. The driver provides full set of callback functions defined for mport devices in RapidIO subsystem. It also is compatible with current version of RIONET driver (Ethernet over RapidIO messaging services). This patch is applicable to kernel versions starting from 2.6.39. What lockdep deduces is that if an interrupt occurred while in this function it would deadlock with xhci_irq because that function also grabs the xhci->lock. 2011-11-02libertas: ensure we clean up a scan request properlyAndres Salomon
Commit 2e30168b ("libertas: terminate scan when stopping interface") adds cleanup code to lbs_eth_stop to call cfg80211_scan_done if there's an outstanding cfg80211_scan_request. However, it assumes that the scan request was allocated via the cfg80211 stack. Libertas has its own internal allocation method, kept track of with priv->internal_scan. This doesn't set scan_req->wiphy, amongst other things, which results in hitting a BUG() when we call cfg80211_scan_done on the request. This provides a function to take care of the low-level scan_req cleanup details. We simply call that to deal with finishing up scan requests. The bug we were hitting was: [ 964.321495] kernel BUG at net/wireless/core.h:87! 2011-11-02ath9k_hw: Fix noise floor calibration timeout on fast channel changeRajkumar Manoharan
During the fast channel change noise floor values are being loaded twice at init_cal and after channel_change. The commit "ath9k_hw: Improve fast channel change for AR9003 chips" overlooked it that caused failure to load nf while doing bgscan. This patch performs noise floor calibration after the fast and full reset. Signed-off-by: Rajkumar Manoharan <rmanohar@qca.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>

2011-11-02carl9170: fix AMPDU TX_CTL_REQ_TX_STATUS handlingChristian Lamparter
Previously the driver did not care if TX_CTL_REQ_TX_STATUS was set on aggregated frames or not and it would silently drop successfully sent frames if possible [much like: "no news is good news!"]. But, TX_CTL_REQ_TX_STATUS was invented for a reason and no tx status report should ever be dropped if it is set. 2011-11-02target: add back error handling in transport_complete_taskChristoph Hellwig
The commit target: use a workqueue for I/O completions accidentally removed setting t_tasks_failed in transport_complete_task. Add it back in a slightly cleaner way; now it is set for every failed task instead of special casing the last one completing by using the success argument directly for it. 2011-11-02target: Remove core TRANSPORT_FREE_CMD_INTR usageNicholas Bellinger
This patch drops TRANSPORT_FREE_CMD_INTR usage from target core, which includes the removal of transport_generic_free_cmd_intr() symbol, TRANSPORT_FREE_CMD_INTR usage in transport_processing_thread(), and special case LUN_RESET handling to skip TRANSPORT_FREE_CMD_INTR processing in core_tmr_drain_cmd_list(). We now expect that fabric modules will use an internal workqueue to provide process context when releasing se_cmd descriptor resources via transport_generic_free_cmd(). 2011-11-02target: Make TFO->check_stop_free return free statusNicholas Bellinger
This patch converts target_core_fabric_ops->check_stop_free() usage in transport_cmd_check_stop() and associated fabric module usage to return '1' when the passed se_cmd has been released directly within ->check_stop_free(), or return '0' when the passed se_cmd has not been released. This addresses an issue where transport_cmd_finish_abort() -> transport_cmd_check_stop_to_fabric() was leaking descriptors during LUN_RESET for modules using ->check_stop_free(), but not directly releasing se_cmd in all cases. 2011-11-02iscsi-target: Fix non-immediate TMR handlingNicholas Bellinger
This patch addresses two issues with non immediate TMR handling in iscsit_handle_task_mgt_cmd(). The first involves breakage due to v3.1-rc conversion of iscsit_sequence_cmd(), which upon good status would hit the iscsit_add_reject_from_cmd() block of code. This patch adds an explict check for CMDSN_ERROR_CANNOT_RECOVER. The second adds a check to return when non immediate TMR operation is detected after iscsit_ack_from_expstatsn(), as iscsit_sequence_cmd() -> iscsit_execute_cmd() will have called transport_generic_handle_tmr() for the non immediate TMR case already. 2011-11-02target: Avoid double list_del for aborted se_tmr_reqJoern Engel
After the list_del() in core_tmr_drain_tmr_list(), core_tmr_release_req() would list_del() the same object again. Call graph: core_tmr_drain_tmr_list transport_cmd_finish_abort_tmr transport_generic_remove transport_free_se_cmd core_tmr_release_req So use list_del_init(), as list_del() of an initialized list_head is safe and essentially a nop. In the CONFIG_DEBUG_LIST case, list_del() actually poisons the list_head, but that is fine as we free the object directly afterwards. 2011-11-02vmwgfx: Reinstate the update_layout ioctlThomas Hellstrom
We need to redefine a connector as "connected" if it matches a window in the host preferred GUI layout. Otherwise "smart" window managers would turn on Xorg outputs that we don't want to be on. This reinstates the update_layout and adds the following information to the modesetting system. a) Connection status <-> Equivalent to real hardware connection status b) Preferred mode <-> Equivalent to real hardware reading EDID c) Host window position <-> Equivalent to a real hardware scanout address dynamic register. It should be noted that there is no assumption here about what should be displayed and where. Only how to access the host windows. This also bumps minor to signal availability of the new IOCTL. 2011-11-02virtio-blk: use ida to allocate disk indexMichael S. Tsirkin
Based on a patch by Mark Wu <dwu@redhat.com> Current index allocation in virtio-blk is based on a monotonically increasing variable "index". This means we'll run out of numbers after a while. It also could cause confusion about the disk name in the case of hot-plugging disks. Change virtio-blk to use ida to allocate index, instead. Signed-off-by: Michael S. 2011-11-02virtio: Add platform bus driver for memory mapped virtio devicePawel Moll
This patch, based on virtio PCI driver, adds support for memory mapped (platform) virtio device. This should allow environments like qemu to use virtio-based block & network devices even on platforms without PCI support. One can define and register a platform device which resources will describe memory mapped control registers and "mailbox" interrupt. Such device can be also instantiated using the Device Tree node with compatible property equal "virtio, mmio".
