2007-02-17[ARM] 4185/2: entry: introduce get_irqnr_preamble and arch_ret_to_userDan Williams
get_irqnr_preamble allows machines to take some action before entering the get_irqnr_and_base loop. On iop we enable cp6 access. arch_ret_to_user is added to the userspace return path to allow individual architectures to take actions, like disabling coprocessor access, before the final return to userspace. Per Nicolas Pitre's note, there is no need to cp_wait on the return to user as the latency to return is sufficient. 2006-06-28[ARM] 3660/1: Remove legacy definesAndrew Victor
Patch from Andrew Victor Remove the remaining legacy __virt_to_bus__is_a_macro and __bus_to_virt__is_a_macro defines in some ARM platforms. Signed-off-by: Andrew Victor <andrew@sanpeople.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-03-28[ARM] Fix decompressor serial IO to give CRLF not LFCRRussell King
As per the corresponding change to the serial drivers, arrange for ARM decompressors to give CRLF. Move the common putstr code into misc.c such that machines only need to supply "putc" and "flush" functions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-03-21[ARM] Remove asm/arch/irq.hRussell King
asm/arch/irq.h used to be included from asm/irq.h, but was removed from the ARM kernel a long time ago. Consequently, the contents of asm/arch/irq.h (which mostly contain a definition for fixup_irq()) have not been used. Hence, remove asm/arch/irq.h. Some machine support files incorrectly included this file, making little or no use of the contents. Move the contents to a local include file, and remove those include statements as well. 2006-03-21[ARM] Move HZ definition into KconfigRussell King
Move the HZ definition into Kconfig, and set appropriate defaults for platforms. Remove mostly empty asm/arch/param.h include file. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-11-16[ARM] Include asm/hardware.h instead of asm/arch/hardware.hRussell King
Rationalise hardware.h include. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-10-29[ARM] 3060/1: allow constants found in asm/memory.h to be used in asm codeNicolas Pitre
Patch from Nicolas Pitre This patch allows for assorted type of cleanups by letting assembly code use the same set of defines for constant values and avoid duplicated definitions that might not always be in sync, or that might simply be confusing due to the different names for the same thing. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@cam.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-10-28[ARM] 1/4: Move include of asm/hardware.h to asm-arm/arch-*/io.hRussell King
Including asm/hardware.h into asm/io.h can cause #define clashes between platform specific definitions and driver local definitions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-10-04[ARM] 2949/1: Hynix h720x Run modeSascha Hauer
Patch from Sascha Hauer After coming out of idle mode the h720x goes into slow mode. Switch it back to run mode. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-05-03[PATCH] ARM: cleanup vmalloc start/offset macrosRussell King
VMALLOC_START and VMALLOC_OFFSET are common between all ARM machine classes. Move them into include/asm-arm/pgtable.h, but allow a machine class to override them if required. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
