2014-01-23mm: dump page when hitting a VM_BUG_ON using VM_BUG_ON_PAGESasha Levin
Most of the VM_BUG_ON assertions are performed on a page. Usually, when one of these assertions fails we'll get a BUG_ON with a call stack and the registers. I've recently noticed based on the requests to add a small piece of code that dumps the page to various VM_BUG_ON sites that the page dump is quite useful to people debugging issues in mm. This patch adds a VM_BUG_ON_PAGE(cond, page) which beyond doing what VM_BUG_ON() does, also dumps the page before executing the actual BUG_ON. 2013-04-30mm: cleancache: lazy initialization to allow tmem backends to build/run as ↵Dan Magenheimer
modules With the goal of allowing tmem backends (zcache, ramster, Xen tmem) to be built/loaded as modules rather than built-in and enabled by a boot parameter, this patch provides "lazy initialization", allowing backends to register to cleancache even after filesystems were mounted. Calls to init_fs and init_shared_fs are remembered as fake poolids but no real tmem_pools created. On backend registration the fake poolids are mapped to real poolids and respective tmem_pools. 2011-05-26mm: cleancache core ops functions and configDan Magenheimer
This third patch of eight in this cleancache series provides the core code for cleancache that interfaces between the hooks in VFS and individual filesystems and a cleancache backend. It also includes build and config patches. Two new files are added: mm/cleancache.c and include/linux/cleancache.h. Note that CONFIG_CLEANCACHE can default to on; in systems that do not provide a cleancache backend, all hooks devolve to a simple check of a global enable flag, so performance impact should be negligible but can be reduced to zero impact if config'ed off. However for this first commit, it defaults to off.
