2011-12-21irda: use msecs_to_jiffies() rather than manual calculationXi Wang
Also use mod_timer() instead of direct assignment to "expires". Signed-off-by: Xi Wang <xi.wang@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2011-12-19module_param: make bool parameters really bool (net & drivers/net)Rusty Russell
module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version. (Thanks to Joe Perches for suggesting coccinelle for 0/1 -> true/false). Cc: "David S. Miller" <davem@davemloft.net> Cc: netdev@vger.kernel.org Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2011-10-31net: Add export.h for EXPORT_SYMBOL/THIS_MODULE to non-modulesPaul Gortmaker
These files are non modular, but need to export symbols using the macros now living in export.h -- call out the include so that things won't break when we remove the implicit presence of module.h from everywhere. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>

Let's use the newly added helper to avoid stalls in drivers which are not yet ported to tty_port helpers. Those which are broken (call tty_wait_until_sent with irqs disabled) are left untouched. 2011-03-27irda: prevent heap corruption on invalid nicknameDan Rosenberg
Invalid nicknames containing only spaces will result in an underflow in a memcpy size calculation, subsequently destroying the heap and panicking. v2 also catches the case where the provided nickname is longer than the buffer size, which can result in controllable heap corruption. 2011-02-17tiocmget: kill off the passing of the struct fileAlan Cox
We don't actually need this and it causes problems for internal use of this functionality. Currently there is a single use of the FILE * pointer. That is the serial core which uses it to check tty_hung_up_p. However if that is true then IO_ERROR is also already set so the check may be removed. 2010-12-23irda: prevent integer underflow in IRLMP_ENUMDEVICESDan Rosenberg
If the user-provided len is less than the expected offset, the IRLMP_ENUMDEVICES getsockopt will do a copy_to_user() with a very large size value. While this isn't be a security issue on x86 because it will get caught by the access_ok() check, it may leak large amounts of kernel heap on other architectures. In any event, this patch fixes it.
