"snd_ac97_resume" The snd_ac97_resume() function tests whether its argument is NULL and then returns immediately. Thus the test around the call is not needed. PCM pointer callbacks in ice1712 driver check the buffer size boundary wrongly between bytes and frames. This leads to PCM core warnings like: snd_pcm_update_hw_ptr0: 105 callbacks suppressed ALSA pcm_lib.c:352 BUG: pcmC3D0c:0, pos = 5461, buffer size = 5461, period size = 2730 This patch fixes these checks to be placed after the proper unit conversions. 2013-05-29ALSA: PCI: Remove superfluous pci_set_drvdata(pci, NULL) at removeTakashi Iwai
As drvdata is cleared to NULL at probe failure or at removal by the driver core, we don't have to call pci_set_drvdata(pci, NULL) any longer in each driver. The only remaining pci_set_drvdata(NULL) is in azx_firmware_cb() in hda_intel.c. The driver already defines control "Multi Track Rate Locking" which locks the card at current rate if switched to internal clock. This patch limits the runtime rates to this rate only, allowing proper reporting of the card capabilities, and e.g. automatic rate conversion by the plug plugin to the currently locked rate.
