2013-01-03ARCH: drivers remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman
This fixes up all of the smaller arches that had __dev* markings for their platform-specific drivers. CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2012-09-18PCI: Discard __init annotations for pci_fixup_irqs() and related functionsThierry Reding
Remove the __init annotations in order to keep pci_fixup_irqs() around after init (e.g. for hotplug). This requires the same change for the implementation of pcibios_update_irq() on all architectures. While at it, all __devinit annotations are removed as well, since they will be useless now that HOTPLUG is always on. lib: use generic pci_iomap on all architectures Many architectures don't want to pull in iomap.c, so they ended up duplicating pci_iomap from that file. That function isn't trivial, and we are going to modify it https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/11/14/183 so the duplication hurts. This reduces the scope of the problem significantly, by moving pci_iomap to a separate file and referencing that from all architectures. * tag 'for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mst/vhost: alpha: drop pci_iomap/pci_iounmap from pci-noop.c mn10300: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP mn10300: add missing __iomap markers frv: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP tile: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP tile: don't panic on iomap sparc: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP sh: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP powerpc: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP parisc: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP mips: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP microblaze: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP arm: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP alpha: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP lib: add GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP lib: move GENERIC_IOMAP to lib/Kconfig Fix up trivial conflicts due to changes nearby in arch/{m68k,score}/Kconfig
2012-01-06PCI: TILE: convert pcibios_set_master() to a non-inlined functionMyron Stowe
This patch converts TILE's architecture-specific 'pcibios_set_master()' routine to a non-inlined function. This will allow follow on patches to create a generic 'pcibios_set_master()' function using the '__weak' attribute which can be used by all architectures as a default which, if necessary, can then be over-ridden by architecture-specific code. Converting 'pci_bios_set_master()' to a non-inlined function will allow TILE's 'pcibios_set_master()' implementation to remain architecture-specific after the generic version is introduced and thus, not change current behavior. No functional change. Acked-by: Chris Metcalf <cmetcalf@tilera.com> Signed-off-by: Myron Stowe <myron.stowe@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Jesse Barnes <jbarnes@virtuousgeek.org>

2011-07-22PCI: Make the struct pci_dev * argument of pci_fixup_irqs const.Ralf Baechle
Aside of the usual motivation for constification, this function has a history of being abused a hook for interrupt and other fixups so I turned this function const ages ago in the MIPS code but it should be done treewide. Due to function pointer passing in varous places a few other functions had to be constified as well. 2010-11-24pci root complex: support for tile architectureChris Metcalf
This change enables PCI root complex support for TILEPro. Unlike TILE-Gx, TILEPro has no support for memory-mapped I/O, so the PCI support consists of hypervisor upcalls for PIO, DMA, etc. However, the performance is fine for the devices we have tested with so far (1Gb Ethernet, SATA, etc.). The <asm/io.h> header was tweaked to be a little bit more aggressive about disabling attempts to map/unmap IO port space. The hacky <asm/pci-bridge.h> header was rolled into the <asm/pci.h> header and the result was simplified. Both of the latter two headers were preliminary versions not meant for release before now - oh well. There is one quirk for our TILEmpower platform, which accidentally negotiates up to 5GT and needs to be kicked down to 2.5GT. Signed-off-by: Chris Metcalf <cmetcalf@tilera.com>
